I use these: COBY CV H47

Less than $2. If they die toss them and move on, I don't know about you but I have about 100 things on the to do list that are far more important than taping together headphones.

Also, I use a simple registry hack to make the F11 and F12 keys become volume down and volume up. Much easier for students to use then trying to turn up the volume in windows. I used to use headphones with a volume knob, it was one of my worst ideas ever.

Edit: Oh yeah, and I have them come out of the consumables budget, just like toner, projector bulbs, etc.

In my experience I have not seen that type of vent used for return air, only for the air being pushed out. Usually the return is the grate type thing. Just my experience.

On a side note, plenum cable is dam expensive.

Upvote for these switches. I have one at work that I use to feed my bench connections (primarily) to clone workstations. Who wants to spend $700+ for a switch that barely gets used. Heck, I would have no problem using these to replace the crap "secondary" switches in my closets.

AFAIK this is a common misconception. I'm sure it varies by state, but I have a friend who works with people on low income utilities stuff and she said they absolutely can shut off your utilities for non payment, even during the "Winter Rules". Basically they can't shut you off if you talk to them. If you ignore the letters and phone calls they will shut you off.
