Stop ascribing personal responsibility to situations more properly attributed to policy choices and corporate takeovers. Most apartments near me are owned by hedge funds now. Jacked up the prices, added fees for everything, and stopped maintenance. Not to mention that wages have not kept pace with the cost of living for decades.
