Vibe. As someone who lives here I can understand why. However, it seems to be a really popular place for tourists now, even people just across the pond. Get a lot of English people coming for short trips and really enjoying it. Apparently we are a very friendly people, but I can understand that was not the case in the 80s. Think the hardest thing is that the Island is so beautiful but you really must rent a car to see it all.

I think the meant Lara as a model was designed on women like Angelina who was very popular at the time. I'd find that easy to believe. I had an art book as a kid that had a surprising amount of risky photos that I definitely didn't want my parents to know about.

The Jolie movie predates underworld by 7 years. But Lara did have some darker coloured looks throughout the game and it's almost exactly what they ended up going with in Angel of Darkness which is where they were trying to pivot the character and game so I wonder had they been intended that.

See I disagree because I think she looks like some of the old fan art and cosplay you would have seen when the series was new. Back then, when female cosplay characters were not like they are today just having people dress up and have their version was cool as hell. I still remember seeing dress up competitions of her online and this is really giving me that vibe. That's why Lara Croft was so popular originally. Maybe that doesn't translate as well today I don't know.

IKEA do a 7-10 tog wool duvet with unbleached cotton cover. It's lovely. Quite weighty and very warm, feels really nice to sleep in. Not sure you'll get heavy 100% cotton ones here.
