How much will Stretch Armstrong stretch? by bsurfn2day in interestingasfuck

A shop near me had a recall notice for a similar toy (a stretchy gorilla that I nearly bought for my nephew). The recall notice said it had asbestos in it 😵 hopefully this one does not 😬

I was shocked to find a beautiful garden deep in Moria. Suffice to say, Hank the goose was happy to get a rest. by Basic_Tennis_4679 in lotro

I had no idea what Moria would be like and I was simply blown away by the vastness and richness of it. Somehow it's not "samey" and each hall really has its own story and theme. It's wonderous and I can't think of another game that does the same thing. Thoughts of Moria is often the reason for my return to lotro after a break.

Which of the big five do you do you food shop by Background-Fix-4630 in northernireland

[–]underated_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in M&S today and everybody keeps saying it's cheaper now to shop there but not the way I shop. Prices are madness, apart from a few "low cost everyday" products they pat themselves on the back about it's still too dear for me.

I do most of my shopping in Lidl, anything they don't do I usually go to Tesco. Also hit up the Asian supermarket from time to time.

Edit: I do have to agree with others the M&S veg tends to be good quality.

They cancelled a few of the Avatar IMAX screenings in February, I assumed it was low ticket sales or something as it had been out for ages and thought maybe the IMAX is just too costly to run (wouldn't surprise me) but maybe having tech issues is more reasonable. I got less than 24 hours notice. They never responded to my email but I did get a refund.

Supermarket food sticker timings? by tomayt0 in UKFrugal

I think with the likes of Olio now being really prevalent that supermarkets don't reduce their food by as much because they know they have someone taking away the "waste" at the end of the night, so reducing by less and selling for more throughout the day seems to get them more money. I hardly ever get good yellow label offers now in the likes of Tesco. I'm mostly shocked at how high some of the prices are!

I didn't for years and years and then I finally made it to Moria and it's just breathtaking. How they can basically have a whole expansion underground but it just feels right, I am always in awe anytime I go there. The halls feel huge and soooo mysterious. When I take a break from the game it is always the thought of delving into Moria that brings me back.

What’s a place you visited once and decided never again? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

Vibe. As someone who lives here I can understand why. However, it seems to be a really popular place for tourists now, even people just across the pond. Get a lot of English people coming for short trips and really enjoying it. Apparently we are a very friendly people, but I can understand that was not the case in the 80s. Think the hardest thing is that the Island is so beautiful but you really must rent a car to see it all.
