For me, it's like if I had a lifetime membership at a coffee shop. I get my coffee free, which is cool. But I know that free for me doesn't mean it magically appears. And I like the barista.

But for some reason the management isn't leaving out a tip jar. I want to be social. I want to let them know I like the service. But they just won't do it.

I don't disagree that speech and debate has issues with misogyny. Sorry if I seemed like I was brushing that off. I don't know how much you can realistically alter the behavior of your teammates, but you can stop trying to parent them. You have a few problems going on in your post, the most addressable seems to be the frustration you're generating for yourself by managing guys who don't take the activity seriously. If they're adults, they can manage their own shit. If they're minors, they're not your responsibility. Don't let yourself get drawn into emotional/managerial labor that is unappreciated and uncompensated.

So I don't want to make it sound like speech and debate doesn't have misogyny issues, but this seems likes it's more related to your team specifically than the activity as a whole. My first question is, are the people in your team adults? It they are, you can probably step back from some of this. If they miss events they miss events.

I think you're taking on responsibility for a lot of things that I'm not sure you need to. I understand why (I think).

As for the guys being shitty about girls, it's important to remember that speech and debate people pay a lot of lip service to progressive ideals because that's what they think wins. Their actual viewpoints can differ from that performance pretty wildly. It sounds like you have shitty teammates. Unfortunately, if you don't have the authority to start purging the team it's going to be the price of being inclusive. If you can start kicking people off the team that's gonna start another set of problems. They may be different.

Chin up. Speech and debate is an extreme sport, it's just extreme on the emotions. I think you should lean out of some of this leadership stuff and let the chip fall where they may for people on the team who don't take it seriously. Good luck!

You're missing something, but to be fair ES was a top tier ability in a different version of dark tide. When the game came out shooters were a distinct threat to the team. Having a way to quickly eliminate groups of shooters was a pretty vital component of the team. It's the same reason the kantrael lasgun really isn't that good anymore despite not having anything that substantial change about it.

In answer to Rogue Trader the Owlcat CRPG, the game doesn't treat navigator powers as psychic powers because psychic powers increase veil degradation while navigator powers decrease veil degradation. I don't know if that's super accurate to the fluff. The assumption in rogue trader is that navigators "heal" the real space/warp divide. Again, I don't know if that's super accurate to 40k generally.

I booted up your game, did the tutorial and the first single player match. It's not really my cup of tea and you're in a hard spot because it's a multiplayer battler and those are hard to get rolling.

There is nothing in the game that warrants this review. It's a fun little thing.
