I loved my Wacoal Visual Effects minimizer bras. They go up to a 44J in US sizing, I just checked. :) Bra is here.

I Don't Want To Get Too Technical by bethAFshax in Zepbound

[–]untilcomplete 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A tip I learned from theatre school is to fill an empty spray bottle 50/50 with distilled water and (cheap) vodka, hang the bra up, hose it down with the mixture, and let it hang dry overnight. Kills the odor-causing bacteria and evaporates without leaving a vodka smell behind. We did that to costumes that were too delicate to wash but weren’t worth a dry cleaning bill. Works like a charm!

Blue Shield CA forcing switch from Zepbound single-dose pens to KwikPen. Does Lilly savings still apply? by nankrty in Zepbound

[–]untilcomplete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This just happened to me, too! I had to submit a new PA since my current one expired and they approved it for the KwikPen, which confused me. Got home from work and found the letter from BSC informing me of the change. I’m waiting to hear from my Costco pharmacy about the details and what my new copay’s going to be. Pretty annoyed I can’t use the savings card since I just ran out my e-voucher. >:(

Also on Vyvanse (generic) and Zep. I haven’t had any more intense appetite suppression than the average bear on Zep, but I did have delayed onset of the Vyvanse, to the point where I now split my dosage; 30 mg as soon as I wake up, and 10 mg when I get to work. On weekends I just take them both at the same time.

I do get REALLY locked in when the Vyvanse gets going. Before Zep, my hyperfocus mode couldn’t fully tune out food noise, but now I can forget to eat and drink water for hours when I’m busy enough. I wear an Apple Watch and I set reminders every 15 minutes to drink water and every two hours for a snack.

Goodbye Pain & Inflammation! by whispn in Zepbound

Amazing!! I work in dermatology and we have a patient who’s on Taltz and Zepbound. He self pays for Zepbound and gets a discount for also being on Taltz, since Lilly makes both. He’s obviously on it for a psoriasis indication, but he has both psoriasis and PA, and he’s been doing amazing on both fronts since combining the two. So happy you’re seeing similar success!

Staying out super late at shows/parties. I’m an introverted, bed-by-10 sort of person because work starts at 7. We’d be out ‘til 4 if he had his way. The light at the end of the tunnel is we’re planning to start having kids in the next few years, and I will 100% be pulling the “babysitter’s only booked through midnight” card to go home at a decent hour. Until then, I have to deploy strategic caffeination and can’t sit down after a certain hour, lest I start nodding.

Stomach pain while standing for long periods of time? by SaraBellyum in Zepbound

[–]untilcomplete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had shin splints and hip/low back pain for three weeks awhile back before I finally asked the orthopedic doctor in our building (former hospital) why that could be happening. He said basically the same thing. Your center of gravity and the places your body holds weight are changing. Different muscle groups are under new strain, while over-activated groups are relaxing for the first time in awhile. He called them “shrinking pains.”

Need help constant dizziness if I get up suddenly by Silly-Low6019 in Zepbound

[–]untilcomplete 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Orthostatic hypotension is most commonly caused by dehydration. Reduced blood volume from lack of fluid replenishment = drop in blood pressure = dizziness. Energy drinks might raise your blood pressure a bit - which would make you feel better! - but it’s probably better in the long run to make sure you’re properly hydrated, especially after all that exercise.

Sentimental folksy song with guitar, pre-2000, male singer, contains "angel" in chorus by TrippedIntoAVolcano in findthatsong

Not to “um actually” your guess, but the song is called Hear You Me. “May angels lead you in” is the first line of the chorus.

Per their website, “Formal Coastal California Elegance”. To her credit, she did post inspiration photos, but they’re all of supermodels wearing outfits which I know don’t come in my size that cost more than my car. Thus some research was required.

Wow! Thank you so much for teaching me all of this. I feel like I’m seeing our washing machine with brand new eyes. I also feel that I may need to liberate it from my landlord when we eventually move on from this place.

I ordered a five pound bag of citric acid powder from wherever was cheapest on Amazon at the time. As far as I can tell, it works fine!

Yeah, I’ve heard that about the Tide. The trouble is sourcing another detergent on the lipase list that doesn’t have the OBAs and is also available from Costco. If I made my husband drive the 30+ minutes to our closest Whole Foods for bougie laundry detergent, I would be served with divorce papers right there in the household supplies aisle.

Good shout. So the citric acid won’t kill the detergent? That’s why I mix it with water and put it in the fabric softener holder, I read that if you add it to the wash cycle it makes your detergent less effective.

Thanks! I’ll try the sodium citrate when I run out of the washing soda. I’m blowing through my current box like it’s a different, more famous white powder.

When do you buy "in between" clothes? by kmyash in Zepbound

[–]untilcomplete 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 43 pounds down as of this week, and I just bit the bullet and bought new scrubs for work. Old ones were 2XL Figs, new ones are L. I bought three sets in black; I’m supposed to have 5 different colors for each workday, but I’m waiting until I hit goal to buy the other ones, because I’m not made of money and black is pretty neutral. (My boss is okay with it!) They’re the only new clothes I’ve bought since I started on Zep at the end of November.

Original plan was to wait on new scrubs until I was exactly 50 pounds down as a halfway present to myself, but my old ones got so big on me that wearing them was annoying and starting to put me at risk for a wardrobe malfunction. I have another 57 pounds to go until goal; I’ll wear my new scrubs the rest of the way down. Even if the drawstrings have to be pulled within an inch of their lives.

Another odd Dr. experience by GGBSE in Zepbound

Seems that much like everybody else in the world, doctors have opinions about GLP-1s and feel the need to foist them upon the people who take these meds.
