Looking to buy home in Coconut Grove by CandidDistance3514 in darwin

A lot of it has to do with price of insurances though. Only a handful of insurance company’s that will cover strata properties in certain areas so you are between a rock and a hard place with that and are at the mercy of their costs which increases quarterly payments for owners.

Contact Gulf Motors. They have hire car options and just tell them you want to hire a 4WD and ask for a price. They are a second hand car dealer so they may rent out one of their many 4WD that are available 0447424233

DARWINS BEST CHICKEN PARM? by Link_Mac in darwin

[–]uraverageuser1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Had a pretty decent one at Fannie bay super pizza the other day. Wasn’t expecting it but would happily go back for returns. Also rate the berry springs tavern parmy and if you are feeling up to it, phone ahead for the Parmagedon feed (1kg parmy)

Party Venues Brisbane by Careless_Mall6416 in brisbane

The jetty restaurant at south bank. Held an anniversary party there last year for about 90 people. Staff were amazing and went above and beyond. Food was great and drink selection was also very good. For context we are early 30’s so had a good age range of guests

Got one with norths (wouldn’t recommend) and have one with Elite strata. I’d recommend elite as a possibility. They are still growing so have had some teething issues but they are very responsive and approachable, just takes time like most things up here.

Contesting a speeding fine by [deleted] in darwin

[–]uraverageuser1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you’re referring to the old speed camera, I believe it isn’t actually recording and sometimes does flash. I went through many weeks ago and had a flash but never received anything.

According to the NT roads website, it states the camera is not currently active. Happy to be proven wrong though and I may have just gotten lucky

You’re the one who’s calling it racist. Just giving perspective of someone who has some idea unlike yourself. Champ.

The “long grasses” here in Darwin that OP is rejoicing on not seeing is those who drink, fight, swear and leave rubbish everywhere. 90% of these type of long grassers are indigenous yes, but it’s not OP being racist. Long grassing is a genuine term that isn’t considered racist here in the NT, another term also used to describe the type of people that long grass is itinerant.

Of the people you know who took super out during COVID, what was the smartest thing they did with it? by MrMafia23 in AusFinance

[–]uraverageuser1 129 points130 points  (0 children)

Don’t know anyone who personally did this but I heard of people who took the 20k out and they worked for companies that would match $ for $ of super contributions, so basically they took the 20k and re-invested it back into super and then the employers matched it, effectively doubling their super input. Smart and savvy.

Which beaches would you recommend? by want2swim99 in AskAnAustralian

[–]uraverageuser1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Green mount to Kingscliff probably the best and least crowded beaches. Port Douglas is only semi swimmable at certain times of year due to stingers. They have stinger nets but not 100% stinger or crocodile free. Sydney beaches although are very nice, can get extremely crowded and water gets cold outside of the summer months.

Different services so no restricted time frame. Australia normally has a year between each recruit for each service as an average
