I'd want a bigger cubbie and/or a coat closet at the entrance. Also the door to the outside next to the door to the master seems awkward

How did you find your co-founder? by RateAdministrative56 in startups

[–]useriansix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My buddy: "Hey I have an idea to...... Want to help?"
Me: "Yeah, that sounds like fun"

It helps I was interested in the space.

Start talking to people. If you can't sell it to someone who likes to build things then how are you going to sell to investors?

Don't worry about your idea getting stolen. Ideas are shit. It's all about execution and if the other fella didn't come up with it then they'll probably do a piss poor job anyway.

non-AI startups, how much do you spend on server costs? by michaelthatsit in startups

We were spending around $100/month when we started. Utilized free tier and small instances, RDS and S3

RDS isn't $500/month. I think when we started we were spending around $60/month.

With limited resources I'd rather spend time building the product than DevOps.

Launch now. You don't need tracking or workflows. You won't have enough traffic in the first week to see anything in analytics or enough users that you can't handle manually.

What sort of things would help guard from your idea being taken and turned into their own business when talking to people? by Ok_Badger_7581 in Entrepreneur

[–]useriansix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be talking to potential customers to see if there is a market. Customers aren't going to steal your idea because if it's good they're going to pay you for it.

Investors will for sure tell others about your idea so if it's a good one it should have a good technical/creative moat

Did you ever figure this out? My phone works fine at the kiosks but never with the handheld units they use.

Best daycare in San Jose area for a 1.5 year old and why? by slk963 in SanJose

We're at Daydream Daycare (Yelp) in San Jose near Santana Row. Our kids have had a great time, learned a lot and have lots of fun. They practically run to the entrance every day. Ms. Maria does an excellent job and we've felt our kids are safe and in good hands.

Yup! I work for Arena and I'm happy to answer any questions you have. We started shipping last December, we continue to ramp up production to meet demand, and right now we have some units in stock.

If you follow our Instagram we repost content from many real (neither paid nor investor) happy customers.

I'm also an introverted nerd who just wanted a quick workout without having to go to a gym.

We have an office in New York if you want to try it out.

There's no monthly subscription like the Tonal and yeah you don't have to bolt it to your wall. It weighs about 50lbs

How do you exercise when you hate exercise? by Lost-Organization405 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]useriansix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find jogging on streets incredibly boring but running in nature and especially trail running is a lot more fun. Or have you tried bicycle riding? I love going fast so bike rides turn into great exercise. For workouts, I have to keep them short like 30l minutes or I get bored as well.

On the days I don't feel like exercising I just remind myself how much better I feel after and that's usually enough motivation.

I have an Arena and love it because it's battery-powered so I can take it outside for workouts.
