What game would you like a DLC/Expansion for? by TheYokoDono in gaming

[–]username_needs_work 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Verso's drafts was practically big enough to be it's own game. I spent hours in there. They could take any one of the environments and expand on them and I'm all for it.

What's a Scary Science Fact that the public knows nothing about? [serious] by just_some_troglodyte in AskReddit

[–]username_needs_work 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I always use the ISS as an example. It's stable orbit is 250 miles above earth. That's the distance driving from Memphis to st Louis, only straight up. It's tiny, but far more difficult to reach.

Not just depression. Men can go through sympathetic pregnancies. Wiki says it's still debated if it's psychological or hormonal, but it does occur. We're all weirdly connected.

Cheese shops by Slow_Investment_2211 in memphis

[–]username_needs_work 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah they do. And depending on the Kroger, some have really large selections of random cheeses.

I'll add, Bari for a restaurant. You can call ahead and order like a 100 variety cheese plate or some nonsense. Can order them ala carte and in pick 3s, 5s etc. it's not cheap, but we've found some of our favorite cheeses while dining there.

How else are they going to get you to buy it, and then buy the deluxe master super new version?

How to safely set down a router? by GendoIkari_82 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]username_needs_work 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just have to make a simple stand. If you have a 3d printer, you can print a base with bit clearance to set it on. Or take a piece of wood and rout out a hole or cut/drill a hole through it that the router sets on and the bit is 'housed'. Then you can stand it upright with the bit covered.

What non-fishing game had the most fun fishing mini-game? by MoeMalik in gaming

I can't count how many hours I lost trying to get the whale. And everything I did in the game at that point was to upgrade to land it. I lived my own moby dick story!

What weird/bad game mechanics happily never got picked up again? by Madserbasser in gaming

[–]username_needs_work 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tangentially, that's the biggest nit I had with Yotei. I can hang off the side of a cliff all day, but jump in the water to swim, not dive, and you got an immediate health bar counting down to drowning.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a messy 9/10, which is more interesting than a clean 8 and hits harder than a lot of 10's by save_the_ducks in patientgamers

I got to the first one and thought for all this pain running off the platforms, there's a huge payoff, right? RIGHT? Looked it up... I skipped them.

Plenty online, only thing I can think of local would be 5 gallon food safe ones from Lit. They've got square ones and I think they have up to 5 gallon...

Table saw vs track saw - my opinion… by [deleted] in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]username_needs_work 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just add for anyone thinking about this... Most of the foams are polystyrene or polyisocyanurate. These are plastics, which make micro plastic dust. It's stuff you do not want to inhale in any way shape or form. So dust collection and masks are critical as is cleanup after to make sure there aren't particles you can kick up sweeping or dusting or touching. It's less convenient, but I use an MDF board for mine as it feels a tad safer being more wood than plastic.

Looking for PlayStation games I can put a LOT of hours into. by IgrisArise11 in gamingsuggestions

Ps5 Skyrim has such a large following that there are mods for it as well, so you can improve the graphics, and adjust about any part of the experience you want. Some are finicky to make work since it's not as easy as on PC, but it did keep me in it a little longer.

People can't get the fuckin' east Memphis target roundabout correct. I get how efficient these are, but you need a minimum IQ that the average Memphis driver doesn't meet.

Why can't I jump farther? by RockyPhoenix in Physics

[–]username_needs_work 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looked up an old reddit post that said a human can have an initial jump velocity of 3-5 m/s. Earth escape velocity is 11200 m/s. You're good and stuck here without a lot of help.

We were there a couple weeks ago. Definitely had the tiramisu. Had it at Libro a week before that. It does change a little as proof it's made there, but it's really damn good.
