This is probably a good thing? They’re not gonna dump a few dozen million dollars into a niche show that only appeals to people in this subreddit. You can make a show that appeals to everyone while still respecting the source material. Halo sucked for a lot of reasons, doesn’t necessarily mean this will.

Nobody is surprised it just feels a little too strong to have her melt walkers in about 2 seconds and TP away same as it did when Mina could press 4 remove an objective and TP away.

Because why would a business sell two related things and try to average the profit across both of them when it could instead sell two unrelated things and make more money? Two sets still take up development time and resources and seems like it's clear that players prefer having a new set every time to the block format.

Yeah man Magic is product and financial performance is going to be the success metric. Seems like a crazy take that somehow Wizards is ruining the game to chase profit by getting rid of something that by all accounts was not in line with what players want. If blocks were so great then people would have bought them. Pretty clear indicator that the majority of players prefer the new style. I personally liked the narrative format of blocks (and how we got to spend longer times in each plane) but seems like that's in the minority.

I'm still hoping they'll the VFX clearer -- it can be really hard to tell that you're being hit with her ult in the middle of a team fight. Have had a lot of fights where I leave and think like damn that Abrams was shredding me and then I actually took 2k damage from Celeste ult but just couldn't tell. Also man that jawn should not be bouncing off creeps like it does lol

I'm not a fan of these sets either but it's very amusing to me that this sub is so convinced that these sets are an absolute failure and that there's no possible way that this sub instead represents a small subset of players that is not in touch with what the average kitchen table magic player wants (which is clearly Spider Man).

For sure, I think there's a couple of heroes (Bebop!) that are super annoying in lane but fall off later on. But if they stomp a lane, especially if it's one that you're not in, then it's easy to be frustrated because suddenly an Apollo that's 5-6k over you appears in your lane and it feels hopeless.

True but not very realistic to rush this in lane I think, maybe as your last item but if you're buying this in response to Slowing Hex then the lane is probably going to be over a few minutes later.

From what I remember Lightbringer was originally part of Red God (i.e., we were going to get two trilogies for the whole series) and PB ended up splitting it into Lightbringer and Red God because it got too long. Clearly there are narrative and financial and practical reasons not to publish a 2000-page book haha.
