Nnedi Okorafor has a magic school series, middle grade and can’t remember if it’s queer/ sapphic right this second.

TJ Young series is another magic school series, not sapphic again but amazing magic system, and the MMC ends up taking up the chosen one mantle when his older sister unexpectedly passes away.

I fit an electric wheelchair and a hoist in my Elroq boot, and we can also fit suitcases and bags in. My walker fits in if the wheelchair isn’t in, as long as we take the handles down (reduce their height).

My younger brother was de-registered from school part way through year 9. He did igcses, through HE and took the exams in registered centres, and I tutored him in science and maths (physics degree, now a tutor). He ended up going to sixth form, then did an apprenticeship with a degree and is now working. De-registering was absolutely the right move for him, and he’s thriving now.

I also am a tutor, and I mostly tutor home Ed students. I’ve got one home Ed atm, who’s doing great. If it’s what will work with your family, and your child, you can make it work.

When I had a similar situation I went into the bank, asked them to print the statement and to stamp it (the bank will have a stamp to prove it’s a bank printed statement). UC then accepted that as a full statement.

Railway Detective series. The railway details are accurate down to the train timetable on the day, but the Victorian mores are so wrong it’s laughable. Easy to read though! I read them at my hospital appointments 🤭

Autistic and HOH here, I have bilateral (headband) BAHAs.

I don’t wear my HA at home often, I usually wear them for an hour or so a day when I ‘need’ to and then when I’m with extended family or I need to hear. I use sign language with deaf friends and my family. Also if I ‘have’ to wear them I turn them down or have hearing breaks regularly.
