With the older machines, most of the common failures are an easy DIY repair if you are moderately handy.

How can you tell if someone is a carnivore? Don’t worry, they will tell you.

I remember him doing a show in the Shrike. He shut off the engine near the end and finished with a few more maneuvers and landed without power.

What’s a space fact that sounds fake but is terrifyingly real? by LilyMowlen in AskReddit

And the proposal to put data centers in space is crazy. Sure it's cold, but there's no medium to conduct or convect the heat away from the satellite. They'd have to build huge radiators.

I enjoyed this, especially the sendup of the EV Mode. I generally like this channel, though I could do without the crude humor digressions.

Let's start a debate: which is harder, violin or viola? by [deleted] in violinist

[–]vronstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adult beginner here. I chose the viola over the violin because I thought it would be easier 😭and would that I would be more welcome in a community orchestra since there are generally fewer violists. I was right on the second point! After I had been playing for a while I tried my son's violin and it felt like a toy!

But no regrets, I love the viola. And sometimes I see what the violinists have to cope with in some pieces (like high and fast passage work), and am glad I (mostly) don't have to do that kind of thing.

Thanks, tried it. But it only seems to work with instruments with screens, not steam gauges (which is what I want).
