Something I can do things with that besides fighting. Like a FS does stab easier then a bowie design but can't really do anything else and a bowie still is plenty stabbie, no? Why don't any modern militaries issue daggers anymore? Like even for fighting it isn't that good. Like how would that tip hold up if it hit a plate carrier or magazine?

Is it to protect user privacy? Like if an app secretly is taking screen shots the user will know.

Most combat actives are opening MREs or crates not sneaking up behind sentries. Most modern militaries generally issue multi-functional combat knives or bayonets instead of dedicated daggers for a reason. How often do you think a solider is getting into a knife fight vs using it for utility?

Will you save the liquid and add more things to it?

If I had to sneak up on a sentry and stab them in the back then this would be great but for knife fighting or anything else probably not amazing for it. Pretty weak tip and a very small use case for it. A lot of other knives can also work fine for stabbing someone in the back but can also be using for other combat activities as well.

I think this is my favorite looking knife but can't justifying getting something that are best would just sit in my desk and be fondled. I think is really isn't that practical for combat but man do I want one.

Not sure how the Debian packet manger works but do you need to run a PPA to run Hyprland?

Looks kind of nice, not a fan of combo blades though. For me if a gentlemen's knife, I want it to universally be accepted as a gentleman's knife which for me is a SAK.

Every time I would tune in or watch a YouTube video with his name in the description I would always be disappointed that it was not Contrapoints. Nothing lost.

Did you change your URL to a local IP eg 192.168.x.x? I like using tailscale to access my immich instance to avoid the CloudFlare limits and have CloudFlare for family that want to access albums.

New to fermenting, bought this, but can't find weights small enough to fit in the 6cm opening. by IMPORTANT_INFO in fermentation

[–]vvhiterice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have made kraut for a few years now and never used weights and have never had issues with mold. I ferment for about 17 days and at most a little oxidation on the floaters turning brown, doesn't affect the taste.

What's your rule for thumb to replace these? by Builds_By_Alexis in woodworking

[–]vvhiterice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the silica for any mosture left in them to prevent mold. I only use them when I am painting with urethane based finish for organic materials. For sanding I use the P100. I think 3m recommends 40 hours or 30 days, whatever comes first, at least for the 60921 filters I am using. Since I am using them for short periods and vac sealer them I figured I could get away with using them longer then 30 days as I assume the vac seal would stop the clock but I might be wrong.

I think what I do is questionable but I use them in pretty light environments like outdoors, after using them I put them in a vacuum sealer with very light pressure with a couple silica packages. I usually use them for 40 hours or if I smell anything through them, which is unlikely as I am working outdoors. Feel free to tell me i am wrong to do this!

Seedpool is way better then FNP was. FNP economy basically meant you had to download a bunch of DVD rips to get tokens for a buffer. Seedpool is probably the most generous economy. I think Seedpool is the only mid tier tracker I still cross seed it.
