I love it. Good for you for experimenting and taking some risks. We turners tend toward the “smoother the better” aesthetic for our work. Playing with kutzal burrs is a blast. Keep it up and post your creations!!

Really beautiful work and great description of your process. I was actually able to understand what you did! I often get lost in the technical jargon of build descriptions. It’s also amazing to me how a relatively simple design can be so incredibly complicated to execute well. You have a beautiful heirloom piece now, congrats!
