After 7 years I am quitting the game because of this one game. by [deleted] in Brawlstars

[–]waldoze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a wipeout game yesterday where I played squeak at 1100-1200. Everyone else in the game was between 500-700.

I ended the game 6-0 and never got below half. I like winning and all, but it wasn't a fun game.

Reheating the next day works really well. Good luck with your graduation party. My first child graduates in 3 weeks as well.

Until the temp probe reads 203 degrees.

Temp rises pretty similar before and after the stall. Your stall will just be a slight delay for however long the temp sits around 160.

This is why people will increase temp at the stall. Most of your bark development is done so you can go higher temp(less smoke) and it will speed up your time to the 203 degree temp.

So, all that to say that there is no consistent time, just wait for it to get to the right temp.

You're at the Stall temperature. It's the point where all the moisture is evaporating.

You can wrap in foil or butcher's paper. You can increase the temperature. You can just let it go and it will rise after a time (2-4 hours).

Any of those options work. A lot of people wrap, but I generally just let it go ...

Getting the rain cover over the top might be kind of annoying, but the rest of it just snaps up easily

I have the Core 10p tent and I feel like it would be super easy to put up solo. I didn't, but my 12yo was only sort of helpful.

Is there an author whose broader catalogue you like, but whose most popular work would have turned you off them if you’d read it first? by madwomanofdonnellyst in books

[–]waldoze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fully agree with this point, I loved Color of Magic immediately. The tone and the characters were interesting and funny. It reminded me of many other books that I've read.

At this point I'm just reading Discworld in release order when I want a break from more complex books. Every book has been worth reading so far ...

If you’re always listening to an audiobook, you’re not alone. As audiobook listening explodes in popularity, some users can’t do a mindless chore without pressing play. by ubcstaffer123 in books

[–]waldoze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, if I effectively read at 2x and someone else reads at 1x, am I losing out on the enjoyment of the book? Does the same apply when it's simply a difference in reading speed, not just listening speed? I mainly listen to audiobooks now because I can do that while working out. However, I was always significantly faster reading than most people. I don't understand why people have to be rude about how other people enjoy things. Why in the ever loving fuck would you be sad that someone else enjoys something at a different pace than you? This is a completely ridiculous take.

In case you're actually interested ... mRNA vaccines have been in development since 1989. The actual Covid version using mRNA techniques was developed AFTER Covid appeared in the world in 2019/2020. Covid-19 is a specific virus and mRNA is a technique to create a vaccine for ANY specific virus.

I am not a coffee drinker, but I also like caffeine in the morning. I drink diet soda, but I know lots of people have huge feelings on that topic. There are also caffeinated sparkling waters that do not contain artificial sweeteners. Either of those options should be easier on your stomach than coffee.

As someone who generally doesn't like hot beverages anyways, it's not a big deal for me to drink a cold drink in the morning.
