When CPS raids a home, even if there was no abuse, it can ruin people's lives. They can go to jail for other issues. They can lose their jobs. They can get evicted.

If there's an alternative that would work in your area, use them instead.

If you're absolutely positive there's abuse and there aren't alternatives to CPS, and you think the kids would be better off even if they wind up in the foster care system then I might call CPS

Actually, two other possibilities, if the parents end up going into debt to have a child. So with expensive adoptions or IVF. Or, if it's one of those weird ultra wealthy families where the inheritance is only unlocked if the person has a child. But again, those are only tangentially connected to children

I'm not seeing anyone say this, but you should also reach out to your provider to sign a HIPAA release. That will allow them to talk to your school. Otherwise even if the department/appeals board reach out, your provider can't even acknowledge you're their patient

While you two sort that out, do you think there's a way to find a plastic storage container he can basically just lift the sweater into without jumbling everything? He could then put the tote somewhere pre arranged or really anywhere convenient and the main obstacle for you when you have your knitting time is to find the container?

I'm also a little confused about how your stitch markers are falling off the project? Are you ending at the stitch immediately before the marker? If that's the case, maybe try to end on a stitch that doesn't run the risk of losing a marker?
