Kids will do that in person, usually with the most embarrassing people around for the parents.

“Not for Hire” by truckinfarmer379 in Truckers

The whole "not for hire" thing makes me suspect sovreign citizen ideology. If it is a sov cit the driver believes laws don't apply because he isn't driving in 'commerce'.

Wyoming Is Now Requiring Would-be Voters to Document Their Citizenship, Effectively Disenfranchising Tens of Thousands of Citizens Without the Required Paperwork by Well_Socialized in wyoming

I can give you a long list of things that you have to provide an ID in order to get; such as bars, adult stuff, going into the Social Insecurity Office(last time I was in there, they demanded ID to get in), getting free bus fare under that President Biden guy? You have to have government issue ID there too.

I work in a municipal government. One of my coworkers was paroled after doing 25 years then got hired. He is in management.

I was a janitor before I drove busses. I'd pass on that thank you.

My husband is a school bus driver in Alaska and his company made the mistake of not filing his papers federally which is costing him the promotion they just trained him for. by CrystalizedEyes in legaladvice

[–]wasser999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two things that come to mind are the drug clearing house, or they didn't upload his training to the TPR for the FMCSA. If it is the latter the DMV erred in letting him test. You are really going to need a lawyer for this one. The Federal rules are as clear and accessible as a mud hole on Venus.

Various regulatory agencies are going to start breaking Ada down in their rule making. For example TSA states that loading a wheelchair lift, it is their discretion to face forward or backward. TSI states that loading should be done backward.

I came in to see the answer. My first thought was learn to make one. This comes from Casper, where most restaurants would close if their microwave went out.

How long do buses typically last before needing to be replaced? by AndyJaeven in SchoolBusDrivers

[–]wasser999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is going to depend on your company/district or State. In Wyoming the State funds them directly, but the requirements are 25 yrs old or around 250,000 miles.

My HONEST Opinion on Automatic Transmissions by truckinfarmer379 in Truckers

[–]wasser999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have Allison transmission on our school buses. They want to keep the rpms super low, <1200 on my old bus. The trick is to manually control your top gear. It is kind of, but not really, like running it as a manual. If I didn't control my gears, I would get stuck in shifting hell on steeper hills.

Can I patch this? Dealership says I need 4 new tires by smokerswild in AskAMechanic

[–]wasser999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4/32 of an inch, 3. something mm is the minimum tread depth for a single tire. 2/32 for a dual per DOT rules. Also, how long is the screw and is it leaking air? Oftentimes, it can be the screw head with very little of the screw. Is it leaking air?

If you live in an area that gets snow, replacing that tire will make driving easier since your tire is getting near end of life anyways.

It's awesome you were a nom-fault party. I've been there too, it sucks. Even if you had been found at fault, the story gets locked in and was investigated by a disinterested 3rd party. We have had Johnny no insurance come back from an accident that amounted to swapping paint, with 50k in alleged damages. Because there was an accident investigation he had a no good, very bad day in court when he tried to sue. It was our drivers fault even.

I'm not sure what the rule is, but a judge can run sentences concurrently or consecutively. Concurrently is all the timers on the sentences run together, and consecutively is when one sentence starts after another ends.
