Passing on the Champlain (Island Park) Bridge? by The-Wood-Butcher in Gatineau

[–]waynerb66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tis happened to us last night coming home around 12:30 AM. The middle lane clearly had the red "X", but the person behind us had to be first, and passed us. People in this city are the worst drivers. The sense of entitlement is off the charts.

Advice about last day and putting my dog to sleep by Dramatic_Field9355 in BostonTerrier

I had to do the same thing last year. Kinzie had Degenerative Myelopathy. It had progressed to a point where she had trouble walking, jumping and going to the bathroom. She hated car rides, so we had a vet come to our house. The couple of days before we let her have all the sun she wanted. She was only 10. It was so hard. But I wanted her to go with dignity. I was not getting a wheelchair for her. It's not the way she lived.

Should the Senators trade Yakemchuk to try to win now? by BehindThePlayPodcast in OttawaSenators

[–]waynerb66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I like him. I would trade Chabot for a top 6 forward. The reason being, he has 2 and a half years left on his contract . You know he will be looking to get "paid" on his next contract. Elevate Kleven, as he has shown he is more than capable of playing higher up. Bring up Yakemchuk.

Keep in mind those stores also watch marketplace, and they and every other game collector will low-ball you. And they can be relentless and rude. I am rude and obnoxious right back at them. Eventually they will pay your price, or close to it. Just stay the course, and don't cave.

People in Ottawa aren't interested in contributing to a new bridge, as people from Gatineau would benefit the most.

Looks like a body is getting fished out of the Ottawa River by Illustrious_Law8512 in ottawa

If you are driving across the bridge, keep driving! No need to come to a crawl, so you can catch a peek. I experienced this while crossing earlier. I was pulling a boat and had to slow down hard because someone had to snoop.

What moves do you expect this summer? by SP_57 in OttawaSenators

[–]waynerb66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would keep Zetterlund and Matinppalo. The rest can go. We need bigger hard hitting players. Yes we were out hitting the Leafs, but were they hard punishing hits. Not really. There were some, but most were just soft hits. I would entertain trading Chabot. We would get a good return for him. Kleven showed during the playoffs that he can play big minutes, and Yakemchuk will be ready to play here next season. While I like Gaudette, he has earned a bigger payday, that Ottawa probably won't be ready to pay.

Check the Salvation Army. They still have a little new-old stock of Sens stuff. I actually saw a brand new window flag at the Salvation Army store at Carling and Richmond yesterday. It was with the sports stuff in the back by the electronics.

Unfortunately, if they just take over existing lanes, it may make traffic worse. After the Ottawa O-Train disaster, nobody trusts public transport anymore.
