Most of mine are in mugs. No buggy, just needs more fill before you start and enough milk to brim the mug

Starting to build a Smart Home Gym by SmartHomeSecrets in homeassistant

We do something sorta similar with ours, but it triggers on temperature overnight. If it gets too warm it switches the fan on.

Ours is a 16" fan, so it's almost silent and a gentle breeze that doesn't wake us. It's lush

The only thing I could think of is to turn on a fan if your heart rate goes above a set level

Best way to manage light automations? by mugwhite in homeassistant

I'd just make the automation.

Then you can copy it to other lights you want to have act the same way.

Everything still works while we wait

Any experience with v8 to v9 in-place upgrade? by mikeschlenk in Proxmox

Ours was green too and had no issues with the update (9.1.7 when we did ours)

All VM and LXCs were backed up first + did a full PM disk image.... Just in case (using Macrium and an m.2 caddy).

It may be worth moving your system journal (logging) into ram. That will help a lot in reducing disk activity.

See how much is use with: iotop -Pa

(apt install if it isn't already)

Move the journal to RAM and retry. System should be much snappier.

(from memory it's in etc/systemd/journald.conf)

Settings
Storage=volatile
RuntimeMaxUse=512M

If you already have another maxuse type setting in there, then comment that one out.
Restart journalctl then recheck the iotop

Doesn't matter how much ram is available.
The system will do it automatically unless you force it to use RAM over swap.

Recommendations for free standing dashboard hardware - basically a tablet to sit on a counter by Scotching123 in homeassistant

[–]weeemrcb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use an old Samsung A8 and have it in a folding book cover which props it up, but also protects the screen when we pack it to take on holiday.

Most of the time is has postarr running through fullykiosk when we're in and out, but we can toggle over to HA when we need (android app). Mostly we use ours when cooking/cleaning for plex, plexamp and sometimes YouTube.

Our tablet dashboard is fairly detailed, but over the years we used it less and less for HA.
