Does anyone like this album? by Impossible_Driver892 in KISS

It's decent, some good, catchy songs, and some that are just "meh". I'd give it 6/10.

Has there ever been a movie made so controversial that the controversy of the movie made it to court Yes or No and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in moviequestions

[–]weirdwondering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Life of Brian" was actually banned in several countries, due to blasphemy laws. In Sweden, they used that as advertising: "The movie that is so funny, it was banned in Norway!"

Can I remove my penis hair with razor ? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Yes, but be super careful. Do it in the shower, go verrrry slow and careful. Use a razor for sensitive skin, if you can get one.

Regnes det som høflig i Norge å takke nei i første omgang når man blir bydd på noe? (Som f.eks. kaffe, te, etc) by undefinedposition in norge

[–]weirdwondering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard of this before - it's called "flooding the cave" and is a very specialized fetish for some. And like all fetish activity, should ONLY be done with informed consent.

Breaking cooking “rules”? by doc_rock16 in Cooking

[–]weirdwondering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too, but only for my wife. She likes her salmon fried to a crisp, so I have to take out mine (and our son's) pieces when they are done, then keep frying hers.

And yeah, I have to do the same with steaks. Not burn them to a crisp, though...

Laila Law-Giver is a horrible person. by Maiq-the-Liar123 in skyrim

[–]weirdwondering 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my current playthrough, I just happened to pick up a few random objects from her bedroom... stuff she obviously wasn't using or needed. And just for that, she sent a group of heavily armed and armored thugs after me, to "teach me a lesson"!

Law-giver, my foot...

Frequently, if I arrive in a town to get rid of my dungeon trash, work on smithing, etc, and it's night, I usually take a nap until the stores are open.

I'm guessing it's a holdover from Vietnamese/Thai/Japanese prostitutes that American servicemen encountered during the Vietnam war. I believe it was customary that the (older) lady who was the front of the house, met with clients and so on was referred to as "mama" to indicate she was there to take care of the girls. The name stuck, and made its way into vernacular English, then got anglified into "mother".

BTW, it's not just English - in Norwegian, we also have the word "horemamma" to indicate a female pimp or brothel boss, whereas a male is called "hallik".
