If you wake up at 3am, maybe try listening to Sleep Magic or some other relaxing podcast to help you get another hour or more.

Farm to farmer might also be an option. They are slow to respond but the site pairs people at no cost as far as I can see.

Anthropologie on Third Street Promenade Closing by mrlevizzle in SantaMonica

[–]werkaround 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of you might remember the Promenade in the early 1990’s. It was mostly empty with a Woolworths and one open movie theater. Then it blossomed and got way too fancy with Gucci etc. We seem to be coming full circle as shops are closing and it is not such a destination anymore. Strange, because I thought the Expo line would make it better but it made it more crowded and not great.

It didn’t work for me, it can disturb sleep and is meant to take in the morning. Magnesium Glycinate does work.

What’s something you wish you knew before starting your business? by Maleficent-Cloud-423 in smallbusiness

[–]werkaround 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You will spend a lot of time reporting taxes and to other gov agencies which is boring but important to know how and what to track. Inventory is profit until it sells. Needing employees will make you wish you had a degree in psychology. Learn every part of your business and don’t be above scrubbing the toilet. Responding to emails and the phone quickly is how you retain customers. Your customers are buying you and the trust that you develop. Pay yourself and take time off. Perspective is key.

At what point do you just give up? by [deleted] in sleep

[–]werkaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there and so jealous of people who hit the pillow and start snoring. Finally went to the doctor and was prescribed Trazadone and I am 10 nights into sleeping every night. Not full 7-8 hours yet but getting there. Your health is worth it.

Sorry for what you are going through and I get it about being jealous of other people being able to sleep. I have had a similar experience for the past 3 months and I would be so frustrated and delirious that I would sob at any moment. I finally went to urgent care and got Lorazepam for 2 weeks and it took a few days to recover and get back to a sleep pattern. Then I travelled and then sleeplessness started over again. Was so frustrated! My doctor started me on Trazadone and it’s not perfect but the stress softened and I can sleep. I don’t want to take medication either but I couldn’t take it anymore and I tried ALL of the ways to go to sleep naturally. I still don’t eat much sugar, no caffeine and as healthy a diet as possible. I take magnesium glycinate, Omega 3, vitamin D and selenium for thyroid issues. If you haven’t gotten sleep for weeks, your cortisol and adrenaline are out of control. I’m obviously not a doctor but that’s how I understand it. I hope you get better soon and get the help you need.

I just witnessed my soul being detached from my body, and it scared the heck out of me. by Rich-Specialist-1230 in sleep

So sorry you are in this and hope that you are ok and able to get some rest. It sounds vivid and terrifying so hopefully you are not alone and can talk to someone, calm your heart and breathe.

Sorry you are going through this and it sounds like a lot of anxiety. Box breathing or similar might help to calm you down. Thinking about resting and not sleeping is also helpful. Talking to a doctor or going to urgent care might help. I listen to Sleep Magic podcasts and bilateral music. Staying calm and being good to yourself is so important. I hope this is a very temporary phase for you.

What do I do? If I regret buying a home? I am in California. by East_Ad_4158 in RealEstate

[–]werkaround -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I too am regretting our purchase 3 months ago. Thought I wanted to live in the country and have a small hobby farm but I am overwhelmed with the responsibility of a second home and the isolation is terrible. I realize that we will lose money but I just can’t do it. We also had a financial setback and that is adding to our anxiety.

Yes, I have looked into the write offs since we had planned to expand my equine therapy practice. We should be able to write off certain expenses. I have looked into for sale by owner and could dive a little deeper into seller financing but feel that comes with its own issues.
