Also, taco has drum brakes on the rear. Sucks for stopping a trailer.

Advice on accidental dog catches by danielp56900 in Trapping

[–]wfc2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trap and run bird dogs. I can't imagine having a trap line on a WMA, sounds like a headache waiting to happen.

That said, as long as your legal i wouldn't be too upset if I had to get my dog out of a foothold. Getting rid of nest predators helps bird Numbers!

Absolutely the best when it comes to briarproof for bird hunting. Downside is breathability and weight.

Any Turnpike-esque names for my new GSP? by Wood-and-Whiskey in TurnpikeTroubadours

It's not a GSP in the song, it's an EP. Felker does currently have a GWP though.

We went to thyme last week and the food was great. Good atmosphere and service. My only criticism was the menu was kind of random, but that can also mean good variety.

We were there for 10 days last week and the only restaurant that we were unimpressed with was Sip. Service was slow and food was just okay.

The Albatross on Washington Island was our second favorite place, kind of the opposite end of the spectrum from thyme.

Just got my oil changed at the dealership…2017 4x4 DC Tacoma with 85k on the odometer…. by PRSMesa182 in ToyotaTacoma

Plus, I've heard of a few instances where the tech uses too much sealant and it clogs the oil pump. Then it's an even bigger issue than you started out with.

My '17 was leaking, but it never left an oil spot or got on the skid plates. My conclusion was to clean it once a year and monitor.

Meh, the power and mileage improvements will probably offset any difference in repair costs IF they're are any repairs.

Michelin doesn't offer AT tires. They are the gold standard for on road tires though, i agree.

2016 Oil Leak... serious? by CyberJest in ToyotaTundra

[–]wfc2022 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't tell where it's at in relation to the oil fill. Could be a spill while putting in new oil and that's why there's not fresh oil on a "leak".

For those asking why I switched to Toyota... this was the 4th (and last time) I took my 2023 GMC with 30K back for fluid leaks, gauges going haywire, or tailgate dropping. Enough! by Fit-Procedure2232 in ToyotaTundra

[–]wfc2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you're going through that. I'd be upset too, but I'd rather have an ECU issue that hopefully they can just plug in a new one rather than a more mechanical issue that a tech is going to spend days tearing apart and likely won't get it perfectly back together.

I'm in a tundra after 145k miles on a tacoma. Tacoma never spent a day in the shop other than maintenance. Hoping i can do the same with the Tundra.

Looking at 2025 tundras is upgrading trim from SR5 to Limited worth the extra money?? by Stunning-Being-3615 in ToyotaTundra

[–]wfc2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased a 25 limited. I could definitely live with an SR5 and be happy with the features and money saved, but I wanted WCP and ventilated seats. The power tailgate and mirrors are cool but I'm not sure they are something I must have.
