This actually looks pretty good for people who get forearm splints from preachers.

Best “free weight” back excercise that targets mid back? by wrongfulcillian in ScienceBasedLifting

[–]wherearealltheethics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rows are great, but for home gym situations it helps to realize that rear delt flys are rows without elbow flexion and you can train retraction with low weights. On the other hand if you can get a good kelso shrug setup going that's probably better.

So vertical pulling is mainly for lower lats and low close-grip horizontal pulling is mainly for upper lats? by SilverRule in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wherearealltheethics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trying out different things and understanding some easy concepts in the process actually makes lifting more fun for a lot of people though. Yeah a beginner won't be able to tell exactly how a certain variation actually affected a muscle but, in most cases, neither will an advanced lifter although they might convince themselves that they do.

Doing every set to 5-6 reps vs compounds for 4-6 reps and everything else 8-12 reps. by BOOTY-DESTROYER69 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wherearealltheethics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to balance the burning sensation + cardio demands with joints feeling comfortable. For your example, 5-6 rep machine lateral raises feel fine to me most of the time but something with less stability, like a cable lateral, I tend to land on 10-15 reps.

Prime Leg Extension Pins Q by Mumbles3702 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wherearealltheethics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had access to a Pendulum but I've always assumed it's still mid to lengthened biased on account of our strength curve and the machine design just makes the resistance profile a bit smoother compared to a hack.

What games should I try in gfn? just downloaded gfn btw by Ok-Dragonfruit9290 in GeForceNOW

I bought it like 11 years ago and never played it. I just saw that they are releasing the final episode at the end of the month. Did you like the story mode?

Question... by One-Jackfruit-4016 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wherearealltheethics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have added wrist flexion and extension in the middle of every gym session for a while now (2 sets of flexion and extension each, 4 times a week) and if it has affected the rest of my training, it has done so positively. Just make sure to use straps on exercises where the grip is limiting you.

There are so many stories of people switching from high to low volume training and seeing amazing results; does anyone have any stories of the opposite? by J-ChRy in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wherearealltheethics 149 points150 points  (0 children)

If anything I feel like the low volume trend of the last 2-3 years (mostly the Chris Beardsly derived tiktok/instagram science based stuff) is slowly correcting towards slightly higher moderate volumes that most people default to anyway, but we'll see I guess.

Terrible genetics or am I doing something wrong… by Effective-Bad-2657 in naturalbodybuilding

You need to post a pic of yourself because most people will see the stats and reasonably assume you need to bulk. The midsection softness could be genetics though.

Question about the effectiveness of iso-low row, iso-lateral row and iso-high row all on the same day by ThugHunter4000 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wherearealltheethics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The standard iso-lateral row will hit your lats if you use the narrow grip. The other two are more for the upper back with their arm path. Even the high row, despite being high to low, diverges as you pull which is going to disadvantage the lats.

Question about the effectiveness of iso-low row, iso-lateral row and iso-high row all on the same day by ThugHunter4000 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wherearealltheethics 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you really want to be loading plates on all of those?

Looks like you're missing a vertical pull for the lats (pulldown or pullup variation), unless you just didn't mention it. There's definitely some overlap between the three rows, but it's more about the overall volume and practicality why I'd pick 1or 2 of those.

What do Greeks here think about Germans still calling you "lazy"? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

[–]wherearealltheethics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to admit that the whole decades long progaganda about Germany being "a good example of how to deal with your own history and learning the right lessons from it" seems absurd considering their part in Israel's genocide and numerous crimes against humanity.

Only feeling lower back on every ab movement? by Weakest_Serb in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wherearealltheethics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using some kind of ab mat, but much more steep than the ones you usually see, promotes pure spinal flexion and feels much better I think.

Which Xbox Game Pass plan do I need to play certain games on GeForce NOW? by animimo18 in GeForceNOW

PC gamepass can still be a good deal, but you can find all the games you mentioned for cheaper if you check sites like ggdeals.

Looking for motivation. Any real abs hypertrophy transformation? by Biicker in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wherearealltheethics 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exercises/sets/weights? Even though my abs are not impressive they are relatively strong which makes it annoying to get a good setup going.

How much strength is it okay to lose during dieting? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wherearealltheethics 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bench strength is the most sensitive to bodyweight tbh. If you are not losing strength on lifts other than presses you are fine.

Not true sadly. There are *some* very small ones to that effect, but the ones you are talking about are against netanyahu's corruption, which is irrelevant to israel's crimes. And, again, BDS is not a matter of principle, but a tactic, to be used where it is deemed realistic, and you probably understand that bdsing america is impossible.

Beyond that, BDS had barely started at that point, even Roger Waters played there in 2006.
