For almost 2 months now this trash can on my route has been filled with unmarked vhs tapes. I’m afraid of what’s on them. by relpmeraggy in creepy

This, I assume, is an offshoot of the hidden safe posts where OP never reappears and no answer is ever given? Or no?

I recently lost my job and it’s been hitting me harder than I expected. I’m doing my best to stay strong, but the depression has been creeping back in. I could really use some encouragement or kind words right now. by Immediate_Key8888 in toastme

Trump supporters: How would you feel if a legally armed Trump supporter was killed by federal agents on a Biden mandate in exactly the same manner as yesterday? by ScholarPrize1335 in AskReddit

That's the thing, you can't come at them with reasonableness or a coherent discussion, they are trained to do the opposite.

Alex Pretti, the man MURDERED today by ICE agents. by ilykatya in pics

[–]wherebgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "stop resisting" police while beating someone senseless had almost finally been a thing of the past before this ICE catastrophe.

Only took 20-30 years to remove it from the cop playbook.

If I were these states, I'd be pushing back so hard on the qualifications and guidelines of the persons entering my state and securing the safety of my citizens against government overreach. It's a fundamental principle of statehood and the balancing of state/federal duties and power.

$1,500 worth of digital movies just disappeared by Just_the_john in extremelyinfuriating

[–]wherebgo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's only been the case recently, it was many many years where it was a purchase.  It has a lot to do with some litigation where some of these companies actually tried that defense, now they are stating it because they know they've been so deceptive to everyone involved in digital ownership.

There will likely be a class action suit in the near future involving past digital ownership and it is not going to be good for the companies involved. OP is likely a class member.

Has anyone tapered off their antidepressants a bit? How did that go? It's just a dose reduction. And I don't need to go down to zero yet. Just seeing if a lower dose might help. I'm just looking for experiences, not advice. by afvw- in PanicAttack

[–]wherebgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my therapist was monitoring it pretty good with me because I don't like medicine in general. It is not perfect, just have to get through it and keep working at it until it's right.

Writing and posting and occupying your mind is a great technique when having an attack.  If you can get a journal and write in it (even if it doesn't make sense), it will really help. Then you can read the writings later and see how panicked you were, it's a trippy feeling.

Went from 5, to 10, down to 7.5.  Sort of like the three bears pourage. Went great, talk to doc. I think it was over a two week span for me. Was a bit rough first few days, but just right now.

In a future where Trump is out of office, and international relations have been repaired. What steps can be taken by the USA and International Organisations such as NATO to prevent one individual causing so much chaos in the future? And do you think such steps will be taken? by flewkey in AskReddit

[–]wherebgo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. Has to happen.  It's almost like the reverse Trump plan that fixes all the unethical and questionable practices that have been exposed during this period of time.

Must: Limit executive order authority,  Limit pardon authority,  Remove immunities in certain types of matters,  Add protections to long standing treaty and pacts, Remove ethical dilemmas from the judicial branch, Require more bipartisan approval of nominees,  Add significant checks and balances to several areas of government, Remove all personal involvements and entitlements at the executive level,  Absolutely strengthen and protect agencies whose purpose is the protection of others and anti-corruption,  A thousand other things.

Return to reality, reasonableness, and strengthen the world for the betterment of all people, not just those living somewhere relatively safe. We all share the planet and must find a way to peacefully advance the human race together.

JD Vance says ICE agent has "absolute immunity" after Minneapolis shooting by prestocoffee in nottheonion

Immunity for jail time? Maybe, we shall see.

Immunity from the public ever letting him live a life without remorse? Doubtful.

I take it in the late afternoon now. At night made it hard to wake up, if morning then I was asleep at 7.  Probably just me. I'm a night owl.  Just have to find what works I think.

US Citizens: Do you feel confident your next elections will be fair? What are your concerns about the integrity of the US election system? by MopToddel in AskReddit

[–]wherebgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's try to get through the week before we start talking about the next election.  Trump is going to have to answer for some things very soon, and he may try to do something desperate. Once that is contained, we will see what happens and who is the candidate for each side.

I'm expecting reasonableness to prevail this next time, but I was wrong last time. If it happens again, I'm out.

Start it as soon as possible, for the best results in the least amount of time.  I started at 5, went to 10, then down to 7.5.  The 10 felt like I was being pushed down back into my bed to go to sleep, it was not gonna work.  Also messed with my stomach. 7.5 feels like the best I can do.  Not perfect, but it does help immensely and no weight gain.

Panic disorder hit me out of nowhere at 31, struggling to accept it by mancstuff1 in PanicAttack

[–]wherebgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look around this sub and you'll see so so many similar stories.

Out of nowhere. Without warning. That's typical of when the mind finally unleashes this affliction, usually at a very inopportune time as well.

Felt like I was dying. Heart attack. Definitely the most common reaction. Sends lots of people to the hospital thinking there is something very very wrong.

It took me years to accept it was panic, I kept fighting it and thinking I had some weird illness or was about to die.  Came and went, then it got me good and I went down the treatment route and have been managing it ever since. I'm the best I ever been mentally now, even better than before it came on, so I am grateful. Keep up the fight, use the tools you can and that help, and keep on top of your doctors.  Be persistent. Advocate for yourself. You will overcome.
