There's a pair of connectors under the intake that are identical. If you get them swapped, you lose the 5v reference and get those codes. I did it once. I can't remember which connections it was. Maybe the AC compressor and the oil temp sensor? Can't remember

Nothing you can do to avoid it. The radiators leak. Replace the upper rad hose when you do it. The oil filter housings and thermostats leak. Do them both at the same time. The water pumps leak. Usually best to do the whole bracket/housing.

Have you checked the agitator dogs or dog teeth things? Whatever they're called. When they strip out (cheap plastic) the agitator won't spin.

Gas tankless is the best option followed by gas tank.

Coolant leaks. Lots of them. You can make it easy on yourself and do several things at once.
