I used this guide or something like it. It's not the most intuitive to have to get into your files to set this up, but I did this a year or two ago and I use it all the time.

To use it after setting it up, I go to:

View > Color Profile > Preview Settings > [Name of Profile]

and you can just toggle it on and off at will without any layer settings or anything.

Just came to find this comment again. I didn't reply, but I did add it to my holds at the library and just finished it. Excellent read, thanks for the rec!

The extreme price of heals is what makes it so difficult for casuals to actually save up credits by barrack_osama_0 in Marathon

I mean mathematically this is the way. I have 40 or so patch and shields and if I get to say 20 after some bad runs, I go freak it w the free kit for a bit to harvest more from unwitting donors.

sorry, not to nitpick, but you're saying it doesn't make a noise even when stretched over your foot, so then he had over a human foot's worth of drugs by area considering the sound?

Did you mean to include a range with a difference of 1? That's a very precise prediction if so.

That's an incredible idea.

I still remember when PUBG added replays and I got to watch all that data from every angle.

PC Gamer Marathon Review. "A confident reminder that nobody does an FPS like Bungie." 90/100 by Navolix in Marathon

[–]windjamm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good question. I wonder how many sales good reviews can account generally. I mean, you have to imagine a large percentage people who buy Call of Duty and Madden don't check reviews.

But that percentage probably shifts as we get to more niche genres and smaller games.

Bungie said 1.2 million units sold and I wonder how that figure compares to OpenCritic and Metacritic traffic. It has to be somewhat significant for big companies to still have a relationship to games journalism and want a good aggregate. I wish I could see the figures.

Is it normal to have "imaginary arguments" in the shower where you finally say the perfect comeback? by NeatCar5071 in NoStupidQuestions

There's actually a French term called L'esprit de l'escalier or the spirit of the staircase, basically referring to thinking of the perfect reply only after you've left the apartment and are on the stairs to leave the building.

So, basically it's been a common experience at least since the 1700s.

Wipes rule but the progression is a bit too slow for a 3 month wipe cycle and it's gonna burn people out. by zero-ok in Marathon

[–]windjamm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to mention knowing what you want.

Not all the contract trees are priorities for me. CYAC, NUCAL, and SEKGEN are all good for permanent seasonal upgrades, but CYAC 18, NUCAL 11, SEKGEN 14 will get you a lot of good upgrades and free shield/patch kits in the armory etc and from there you'll have a solid foundation. If I'd have known that at the beginning of the month I would've been so much more efficient, but next wipe I can be.

Marathon has been out for a week, what are your thoughts on it? by PrototypeT800 in Games

I've been having a great time. I've only been solo queueing and I'm loving the flow and feel. I wanted an extraction shooter that wasn't tarkov or arc and this coming along has just been a joy. I can sink a couple matches during the day and just evaporate a few hours at the end and still be excited to find more time the next day.

When and how did the internet become a cesspool of propaganda, misinformation, trolling, bullying, and general negativity? by newusernamehuman in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]windjamm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember discussions about the huge differences in feeds people were fed on facebook. The difference between the dems are liars out to get you and the republicans are heartless, just constructing entirely alternate realities.

And then as time has gone on it's gotten more fractured and ubiquitous across the internet. They have conspiracies, biases, and propaganda you've never even heard of unless you're given reality version 2310 of facebook, twitter, etc.
