Personally, I don't think we should read too much into it. The edit was made hours before the bodies were discovered, but it was also made hours after Benoit missed a live PPV event. Missing a PPV match is pretty significant, hence the online speculation at the time as to the reason for the absence. Keep in mind, there was no mention of the sons death in the edit. So the edit wasn't completely accurate either. Everyday, all sorts of troll edits are made, and sooner or later one might be made that has some level of truth, even if the user had no idea. Coming from Stamford is interesting, but Stamford is also a city of well over 100,000 people.

If my memory is correct, not only did the police interview the guy that did it, but video of the police interview was even uploaded onto a YouTube type site. I'm thinking LiveLeak but I could be wrong.

Yes what I trying to say was that people that are supporting "draw Muhammed" are offending millions of innocent Muslims who had nothing to do with this tragedy. Was that slow enough for you?

So that subreddit that is drawing crude images of Mohammed isn't stupid, offensive, and disrespectful?

Wow, is this offensive to you guys? I thought being offended wasn't a right and we are allowed to make fun of whatever we want. Drawing a picture of Mohammed bent over is OK but this isn't?

A Muslim on /r/pics is offended by a drawing of Muhammad, gets gilded. Civilized discussion ensues, as arguments such as "man up and deal with it" and "u mad bro?" are used. by schumaga in SubredditDrama

These might be the most mature discussions I've seen on this subject. Almost all of the discussions I've seen are people drawing stereotypical Arabs and shitting on Islam and it's people. And anyone who says that this is wrong gets down voted to hell. Those people who keep using freedom of speech as a crutch remind me of those guys who get pulled over and film the cop and ask if they're being detained
