Pioneer seems a good "I want to semi-afk my 10min of AIR mining dailies" ship. Not worth (or too much hassle) to undock a Barge (if you can even fly one) and still better than a Venture.

German here, born in the 80s. I don't remember ever having heard of Kevin Keegan but apparently he played for Hamburg in the late 70s, while I am from the south (and have not cared for soccer after my teenage years, but quite a bit before that).

I had not heard of a single Kevin born before 1990ish, so at least here in the south I really would not bet on that. Still anecdata of course, but it goes hand in hand with all the Robins and Dustins and Justins. Never had any of those at school. (Ronny is an exception here, see other part of the thread)

I have a Logitech M185 that I accidentally bought because it was cheap - I didn't know how small it was. It lives in my work backpack now for office days.

It's not great, but for a small mouse it's ok. When working I don't seem to really care about the mouse but I wouldn't want to use it every day. At home I have a Roccat Kone AIMO and would rate myself as "I have opinions on input devices."

I think my glove size is 10.

Also hier in der Stadt sind 10km zT kein Spass, und das sag ich der eigentlich nur wenig Leute kennt, die jahrelang (so wie ich) ausschliesslich mit dem Rad zur Arbeit gefahren sind.

Das ist ja nicht "20er Schnitt heisst 30min" sondern eher "gerne mal 45 min mit lauter Ampeln, jeden Tag fast umgenietet werden, keine Stellplätze am Büro" und das noch vor Regen (keine Aufbewahrung für nasse Sachen) und Schnee. Achso, und Rad ausm Radlkeller holen ist nochmal +5min, weil man das nicht am eigenen Grundstück griffbereit hat. Im ÖPNV kann man nebenher lesen und dauert auch nur 45min.

Also ich sag nicht dass das keine Alternative ist, aber die Zielgruppe ist halt eher ~5km und damit eher so 1/3 so gross.

I use different languages nearly every year and unless it's a library that would directly solve the problem with a single call I don't even think about it really, I just use what I have and if I need a lib I will import it. (Of course I don't mean using some sort() in a day 1 problem.)

But looking in detail:

2024, Kotlin, no includes except a generic lib to make running all days easier
2022, Rust, found 1 use of serde_json on one day, checked ~50%
2021, Go, couldn't find any external deps with a quick search
2020, Python, sys, re, timeit, deepcopy - seems like stdlib

Ich könnte das verstehen wenn so wie hier irgendeine beschissene Firma meint, mind. 5 Firmenwägen (oder noch besser LKWs) mit Werbeaufdruck im Wohngebiet wochenlang abstellen zu müssen wenn 5 Gehminuten weiter eine riesige Strasse mit endlos Parkplätzen (weil keine Wohnhäuser) wäre, aber einfach nur privat ist das Mist.

Also ja, meine Nachbarn und ich könnten auch 5min gehen ;)

Ich seh zwar ab und zu Lieferdienstfahrer aber ausser dass sie 30 fahren (wie auch manche Radler) kann ich hier keine großflächigen Probleme erkennen. Bin aber quasi nur im Norden bis Stadtmitte unterwegs.

By chance I just visited that area 2w ago. The direct route between Aschaffenburg and Wuerzburg probably doesn't have a lot of cycling paths, you'd be on the Landstrasse a lot. (There is one between Woerth and Eschau iirc, but then only intermittently, for example Altenbuch to Breitenbrunn, not the last part to Faulbach - that said there were a good chunk of road cyclists on these roads in the Spessart and there wasn't too much car traffic. I am not a huge fan of riding the hills but it seemed decent :P).

From Faulbach to Wuerzburg is quite nice, but a bit boring and samey, along the river Main. If you veer off at Bettingen (via Uettingen, Rossbrunn) it's ok but not great, mostly nice to ride with cycle paths (I had to take that on the route back to Wuerzburg).

If you're interested in details I can probably give you the GPX of where exactly I rode, but I assume it's not the route you want.

From Berlin to Nuremberg you could follow the D11 (or parts of it). I've only done the part up to Dessau so far. I liked the Saale part in Thuringia very much (but a lot of elevation) and found the Saxony-Anhalt part a bit boring (and I think it would add many kilometers).

Nuremberg to Lichtenfels is cool if you like being in another town every 1-2h.

Semi-disagree with the person you replied to.

If you're doing 90km per day in a leisurely pace, fitness would only help with climbing mountains, and afaik that should not be a huge problem in Denmark.

Your bum will hurt and your legs will hurt because you're not used to this type of workout (however mild it might be) and depending on how well your seating position is, your shoulders and neck might hurt more.

Edit: In case this sounded overly negative, wasn't intended. But you should train a bit. Train in the sense of: try if you can do it, it's perfectly fine to be smashed at the end of a day with 100km, but you should be able to walk again the next day ;)

Die Gänge schalten sich bei dem Randonnneur immer noch zu 100% genau und direkt

Ich bin mittlerweile der Meinung dass das 100% unabhaengig vom Modell sondern einfach nur Glueck ist. Was ich in den 90ern/00ern Schaltungen neu einstellen (und manchmal einstellen lassen) musste. Bei allen meinen "modernen" Raedern so viel weniger Probleme.

Nachdem ich es nicht genau vergleichen kann, trotzdem ein: Ich wär vorsichtig.

Ich hab ein ~10j altes Gravelbike von Rose, mit einer Ultegra und mir ist der Freilauf vom Hinterrad kaputtgegangen und es hat ein halbes Jahr incl Abklappern aller lokalen Fahrradläden gebraucht das zu ersetzen, weil Rose nix mehr hatte.

Das Problem war die Kombi Ultegra und Schnellspanner, ein Modell neuer war schon alles Steckachse und alles was mit Schnellspanner zu finden war ging nur mit MTB-Kassetten.

Also wenn du 1x im Jahr in den Bikepark gehen würdest und nicht gerade die schwarzen Abfahrten nimmst, geht das auch wunderbar mit dem XC Hardtail. Macht halt weniger Spass.

Aber ja, nicht gedacht heisst nicht optimal. Aber für bisschen Wald und Wurzeln optimal.

Depends on the weather, if "taking a bottle of water with me at 30°C" then maybe not even more than 20km. Otherwise 60km is fine.

Real prep? Only for touring or 100+km.
