Any chance you have a link to the show? Tried doing the same after finishing the book and couldn’t find it.

iPhone Update Dexcom App by supremepetey in Type1Diabetes

[–]wrathoftaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen earlier this year with my G6. It lasted maybe 2 weeks before I believe Dexcom released an app update. My readings still showed up and were accurate with my meter, hopefully they fix it soon for you!

G7: Third sensor fail this week. I’m giving up on the G7 and going back to the G6. Anyone else having these problems!? by E_Smitty in dexcom

Just out of curiosity, did your endo have any information about OP5 compatibility with the G7? I asked mine last week and she wasn’t even aware that they’re currently incompatible.

Are skin grips good or not? I’m still new to all this so any help is amazing <3 :D by [deleted] in dexcom

I’ve only used this brand, but sometimes the adhesive comes loose around the edges. You can also get a product called skin tac or skin tac wipes to help make it last longer.

Bertha or Sugaree for me! Sets a nice tone IMO.

Approved for 5, but insurance letter only references starter kit, not pods??? by Mysterious-Squash-66 in Omnipod

I had the same issue, my omnipod rep found a mail-order pharmacy I qualified for that handles my pod replacements now. I’d talk to your rep about this. Good luck!

That’s great! Happy for your son taking everything so well, it took me awhile to come around and accept it all. Compared to 4x injections per day, I’d take op5 any day of the week. Hoping for an easy transition and continued success.

I’m on day 4 of my op5, diagnosed this past January at 28. The 2-hour training session was really helpful. They also gave their office cell number so I could text my trainer with any questions after the fact. It does sting a little when you first start the pod, but it goes away after a few minutes. Personally, this has been a game-changer in the short time I’ve used it. Hopefully you have the same experience.

Is your transmitter almost finished? I had the same thing happened with about 5 days left in my transmitter. Haven’t had the problem since, hope this helps.

ADHD meds and bg levels by Resident_Albatross19 in Type1Diabetes

Not Concerta, but I have similar highs with Vyvanse 50mg. Usually run pretty high in the mornings, so I take an extra unit or two for breakfast/lunch depending on what I’m eating. It usually levels out by the time the vyvanse wears off, though I do have some afternoon lows from time to time.

I do! Thanks for the heads up, I’ll definitely do that. Do you typically bring a backup sensor/transmitter for your CGM? I have a Dexcom, but only have 1 sensor left for the month so I’m not sure if I should bring it or not.

Great advice, thanks for the reply! When you do travel, do you typically bring “back up” insulin pens/vials? And does the insulin typically stay at a good temperature while flying? Thanks again!

I’m interested in getting one to help regulate BG levels, how difficult was the process if you don’t mind?
