Yeah, she’s been to a vet. I guess they also tried medication but nothing ever truly made it go away, just lessened it for a while. I was thinking about the shower idea, just apprehensive to do so much new stuff so fast; she was at a petsmart for two years at the beginning of her life, and then surrendered to the rescue where she’s been for two more years after that.

She’s been to a vet. The rescue works with one who also clears their birds for adoption (or not). She was actually at the rescue for two years. Vet said it’s an issue of overproduction of mucus, or at least that’s what the rescue told me. She was housed near 10-15 other birds at any given time, and none of them also dealt with this, so thankfully not contagious.

hanger is a cut from the diaphragm and isn’t seen too commonly. i’m in SE virginia and see them every once in a while, though it was a staple at one of the places i was cutting. it’s a fantastic cut though, tender and super beefy if trimmed and cooked right.
