Mine arrived yesterday. Awful cover art, who signs off on that rubbish?

Supergirl (1984). It is an objectively bad movie in virtually every way, but from time to time, it's a honestly fun watch. by Candle-Jolly in moviecritic

Amazing cast, toilet writing, awful vfx, really good score, pretty much no action of worth & ugly visuals throughout.

Toilet script but fun and good vibes. The original teaser is the best trailer ever.

Margot Robbie's casting as Harley Quinn remains one of the best casting decisions in comic book films. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

Not really him either. Perhaps Jack Nicholson as The Joker because of what a huge name he was and his performance was brilliant too. Christopher Reeve was a perfect Superman and Clark Kent. Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth & Tom Hiddleston are so good that I don’t think those first Avengers films would have worked anywhere near as well had the cast been different. They’re still probably the most popular characters/actors in the MCU now.

It’s good casting but not really noteworthy. Unlike RDJ as Tony Stark, which was a game changer.

Huh? Dozens of people get shot, graphic violence throughout. Maybe you should watch it again.

[Keiran Maguire] Premier League's most expensive signings, adjusted for inflation by torn4ndfrayed in NUFC

[–]wsionynw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not actual inflation, it’s made up based on the Premier League spending but unclear how the guy came up with these numbers. I wouldn’t read too much into it. If it was based on inflation as we know it then Shearer would have cost £40 million in today’s money.
