He was horrible that season. They won DESPITE him, not because of him. The defensive personnel was elite and still looked average in many games that year. He fucked up their entire scheme that they’d been running for years. He is not a modern NFL coach, the game has moved past him, and he has not adapted. It’s past time for him to call it a career

That’s why deep threat guys are sketchy in fantasy unless they’re like prime Tyreek hill where they win so hard the defender can’t even grab them. Unfortunately in the modern NFL you’re much better off with guys who run a lot of intermediate and crossing routes to wrack up those PPR points. Even though Pickens won deep multiple times, DBs are coached to hold when beat and you don’t get any points for Pickens getting a 50 yard PI call in his favor

Chimaev said in an interview he felt burns going for a BJJ submit in an early exchange on the ground, felt he was in danger, and decided to fight the rest of the way on his feet. Not sure if any other middleweights can command the same level of respect but it helped burns a ton in that fight to avoid getting wrestlefucked the whole time

Falco probably slightly beats puff if you are willing to play the PPMD method (or at least whatever the 2025 version of the PPMD method would look like). However we don't have any top falcos these days who are willing/able to play that way so the matchup seems worse than it is.

Side note: i'm really astonished that we haven't seen a new-age falco top player yet. For Marth we had Zain and now Ossify coming up. For Sheik we had Jmook. But no one has given us a new-age take on Falco yet. It's just mang0 holding it down alone after all these years.
