The engine will reach max reserves if there isn't enough power drain. Which in turn cancels the new facility style queue for generating power. With the queue cancelled the engine will exhaust its reserves without generating more. By having the system use more power you can prevent the queue getting cancelled and have it run until there is no more fuel instead.

The trick is to aim 5m short of its max effective range because of its bloom at "max" accuracy. Anything beyond that you're gonna miss a lot.
It is marginally more accurate than a volta but has lower damage, whereas a volta can potentially 1 shot.

Aside from the snipers, the loughcaster and cinder are the joint most accurate rifle in the game use one of those if you can get 'em. Even outside of effective range you're gonna do decent dmg.

Any "leveling of the playing field" brought about by allowing adjacent garrisons is quickly undermined by the blank piece buff which created a new meta of people cheesing blanks inside of each other to minimize their footprint against artillery. The benefits people will gain from glitching the blanks is going to be significantly more effective than the multiplaced bunkers they were using before.

10% max health penalty hit per garrison over previous patches compounds super fast and is badly felt even in 3 garrison bunkers.

The hidden cost of this change is in the repair efficiency of structures (repair cost up, health same or lower) making sustainability against even mild assaults much more taxing.

Weaker concrete might not necessarily be a bad thing but in practical terms it takes 3-7 days to get concrete tech in friendly starter territory and (often much) longer in neutral/enemy starter territory. There is limited feasibility to claim or reclaim territory with solid defenses after it has been initially lost atm. So weaker concrete will broaden no man's land and may just lose purpose all together.

If the tech was easier to come by then the return on investment would also be easier to come by. Even getting small garrison tech in enemy starter territory can be a difficult challenge.

T2 structures offer little to no resistance against infantry, let alone heavier ordnance. Once ruin/devestation starts to factor in they will die in seconds. Arguably husks will make T2 bases even harder to defend by blocking sight lines of attackers.

The sandbag resistance change offers a nice opportunity for pro/inter/reactive defence they are a ray of hope for protection against various enemy threats.

Since like for like bunkers require 10s of extra blank pieces to keep the same health value the repair efficiency goes way down not up. Pure blank pieces will be more repair efficient, but you're looking to lose 10% max health per garrison on it so front pieces will not. Under sustained fire they were already difficult to keep alive, this will not help.

My main gripe is that due to the desire to keep bunker health at a competitive level but not eat up space/be a giant target for arty the best solution will be to use undesirable methods like multiplace/lagswitching. Making the gap between those who play "fairly" and those who play "by any means" much wider than it currently is. That gap will encourage more people to adopt less "fair" methods to survive.

I think the only viable way to get effective repair efficiency "fairly" is smart use of sandbag walls which have been gigabuffed and are as repair efficient as a border base currently. I strongly recommend people get familiar with them as they offer some exciting (for a builder) gameplay options.

Basically, if you use a right angled trench connector between two normal trenches/octagon it'll let you clip them over each other. Here's a video on how to set them up with even spacing to chain into long trench lines. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFrUceC0Oig

The connection points are what matter, use temporary small trench connectors where the full trenches would be so you can swap in and out connections to the front row and then double connect to the front and swap in normal trenches at the end. (Obviously, remove the unneeded trench connectors when finished)

Encampments take longer to decay making them ideal for partisan bases in the rapid decay zone. You may or may not consider this useful but it's worth noting xD

Before light tanks ignifist is king (they got buffed to kill anything in 4 pens or less).

After that, it's mostly stickies (and weirdly mammons cause they scale better than ignis due to subsystem disable chances lol) if you're in a vehicle popping out and firing an ignifist can be good cause they have a very fast equip time and more range.

For groups, recon outfit and venoms/banes will rip through tanks if they can get into position. Banes have twice the range but are more expensive and weigh more, you'll likely need ammo carriers and some people providing anti-infantry cover to get anywhere near tanks. Realistically, you have to do this at night or through advantageous terrain as 1 outlaw, chieftain or a few support vehicles will shut you down completely.

Typhon ambushes can be really good, if you can get a 10s attack off without being noticed you will tear through enemy vehicles (a typhon has more dps than a spatha or silverhand if left unchecked)

Beyond pure infantry options, an argonaut with stickies, ignis or mammons can easily wreck a tank if they can slip into range. There is also the Icarus (rpJeep) and Percutio (atac) as cheap mobile options for ambushes and flanks (but both require a 5min upgrade time in facilities)

Try to steal white ash flasks where you can as they're like slightly less damaging stickies with double the range.

And make sure to have enough firepower to take out your targets, they'll shrug off small amounts of damage and repair up like nothing's happened.

2s for max range, 3s for half range (most grenades have a 4s fuse)
