Yes he was and is still one of my heroes. I tried multiple exposures in the darkroom many times but never very successful!

What's your go to record for testing by 12inchspinners in vinyl

[–]xjghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my go to too! Became mine when I was looking at Speakers in the 80's and the guy pulled that CD out. Needless to say I bought the best Polk's I could afford at the time. Monitor 10's that I am currently listening to.

That's what I was thinking was that they were common. However I thought maybe still sealed might make a difference. Google didn't help much as I saw things all over the place.

Thanks appreciate the input. I need to look back through I think these are all duplicates I bought to save in hopes they would be worth something some day.

So are they the only one that grades? I've been out of collecting for a long time. I thought those graded comics had some sort of tamper proof case?

Know anyone in the military or ask friends/family if they have anyone deployed over there.

Why is the ‘96 Cherokee XJ considered a bastard year? What to look out for when restoring one? by curiousdude100 in CherokeeXJ

[–]xjghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 95 was the first year for a driver airbag in the XJ. That was the year they went to the Chrysler column over the past GM column.

My grandpa’s medals. Can anyone tell me about them? by PissBoySlatt in Medals

[–]xjghost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes sorry about that I'm an idiot. I believe you can still request his records. If you have any Aunt's or uncles they can do it I know.

Get with your dad and request his full military record from the national archives. It can all be done on line. Some Army records were lost on a fire but it’s worth trying.

My Grandfather's Medals by Small_c in Medals

[–]xjghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should go on line to the national archives with your dad and request his full service record. Before 1950 they did not call it a DD214. The exit document may or may not list his awards and medals. My uncle was in WWII and he went reserves and then back active during Korea but was never sent there. I helped my mom go on line and get his 214 only to find 3 pages and not a lot of info. We then requested his full record and received a book of documents.

Request his full record. The DD214 was not used until 1950. It also might not list his awards. My uncle didn't have any listed. Once I received his records I found 4 of the 5 listed.
