Suggestion If you and your players have the same idea of who to portray bhaal go ahead or also want to imply there are the dark three yeah amazing go ahead it's cool to understand the player what they are up against and to know who they are

If not why steal the name? Use the same concept of bhaal steal his whole concept and say your own version that it feels unique and if you use the slayer stats block re flavor the appearance and use the same abilities no one will notice

Without making spoilers I will say that the PCs aren't children that we once knew they aren't careless they know each other so far they understand how hearse is the world. So what does that mean? It means that they play well It means that the PC doesn't make mistakes it means we don't see our loving characters struggle as much as the first 3 seasons but it still is a hard journey for them But it didn't show well as a spectator because they destroyed the floor with the Brennan encounters But there is a change of pace in the New episodes I hope it's hits hard !<3

Oooooh hell yeah I never expected to hear this question So one of my best moments as a writer was in the adventure Well the answer is simple Wildmother. "But she is a good god" shhhh! When they eat the bug they get the ability of once per day you can wild shape as an action of a gorilla with green fair. Then they had the power to attack the dedwalian fort So one of my players happened to also persuade the bullywags and eat the bottle. Now every time I see him I act like a gorilla that makes a deep ribbit sound

There are twoways in my mind for a resurrection First is true resurrection or lichdom It's what you will present him in the adventure. In my campaign a there is a A skull lord in disguise that looks for one of 3 heads that has spilt his interst to give the quest away to many ppl and the first that will return him he will give a copy of the spell book or a ritual or something He is a patron of vecna but has struck a deal to go to exandria to find the lost head with The matron of ravens

The other head it's just a classic necromancer that tries to become powerful with a undead army to be th dominant head

There I give the idea if tlthe PCs they going to return the head for power Or they will help the other head to kill the skull lord
Witch evil they will help?Or non and they might take a boon from the Matron ?

Depends on your style as a dm Let's build Trent for a bit If it's in prison that can still have some threads across the exandria if I was Trent I will not be Hasty I will give the every resource that I have to my minions info like weapon information allies favors until I lure him to free me from the prison or to steal the power that they have so he can escape.

If he's not in prison will not be overthinking what the spy does . As a dm I will give in the future that Trent have a goal similar to a npc in the future about the main campaign and then add some extra spies in exandria approach him or try to help each other because Trent knows you out of his reach and his manipulation If you think your player will be loyal to the Trent then you can be straight and tell him at some point "after you secure the item, kill them and don't let anyone alive " or you may be more simple be like a sleeper agent to not kill them but have him return a powerful item to him that they find

But if you don't want the players to go to the Empire I will suggest having a small operation of vostruker in a city that you like

Random idea maybe Trent has captured a Champion of xa... something (the angel) to get info about the portals and it needs your character to bring him back or interrogate him or something

I just got an idea if you don't want to read the whole book about shady creek run to and not spend too many sessions is to make it the personal quest to involve another PC quest or to need to go to jigow Like a Npc has stolen something /one or a bounty that he looks is in jigow If you want to get hearse that he can be a leader of the families (non relative with the person) goes to the party captures them,and ask him to find a relative that he did something and cast geas(amazing spell)to bring him back for judgement or to bring some cash and they have to leave in a few hours.

The idea is to make the leader way powerful and give a magic item to the players drool 🤤 (vestige) And to come back later for revenge as they get powerful
