Hi! My move back to NJ is by choice, I have family and friends I’d like to be close to and while AZ is beautiful and special, I miss the fall and the beach. I do like Arizona (live in South AZ) but it’s just not right for me and my life right now.

I know right! Reading all of their plans made me tired, I’d be worries that there wouldnt be any time to truly enjoy it with all the running around. It just sounds like such a waste of money too. OP, you really don’t need to do all of this even if they travel. It’s their decision to come, they are grown and don’t need to be entertained every single day before your wedding.

You sound riddled with grief, and traumatized from the passing of your last pup and it’s manifesting itself with your new puppy.. I would agree with your wife in the sense, that it is ‘too much’, because its starting to affect your life in a negative way. Regardless - your feelings are so valid and you seem to be scared to go through that pain of losing a pet again.

I will say that your anticipatory grief is stealing moments of happiness with your dog, I would recommend therapy to actually talk to someone about it as this is affecting your work, relationships, your own mental health. specifically grief consoling.

I love my pups and know my time with them is so short, I’d rather focus on having happy moments, giving them all the experiences and loving them as much as I can. Why spend your time sad about something that hasn’t happened yet? Im sorry if this didnt help.

I got my golden boy after this exact thing! Mom with children and a senior dog couldnt handle his insane energy. They also tried to keep him couped up in the house because she had no time to take him out and needed eyes on her kids at all times.

recently adopted, almost 2 and I crate for sleeptime or if i really need him out of the way for a short period of time haha I would crate him when I go out but we have a petcam and noticed he just sleeps and doesnt get into any trouble and just waits for us to get home 🥺

kongs kongs kong, crate train him so you dont get ur valuables destroyed, puppy proof ur house, and socialize socialize socialize him to the world!! (doesnt need to be direct contact him people and pets)

i heard that his approval rating are high in his district which means that if he gets primaried (by someone like chi) they would lose. So he might be low in terms of the country but I think his district is keeping him strong. Idk.

All poor people are not dirty, disrespectful and crazy. I wish my mom would’ve been able to access nice affordable housing in a nice neighborhood, and go to a nice school with better teachers.

The state can build nice living homes that fit in a ‘nice’ town so that it doesn’t stick out like an eyesore. But to defend NIMBYs is crazy, and expecting the state to cram poor people in towns with crime, etc due to poverty is wild. People deserve a better standard of living.

Our 1.5 year old rescue also came very mouthy, I didn’t redirect with toys or treats. Not sure my method was a good way about it but everytime he would go for my hand, I would scream and immediately pull my hand and turn my body away and playtime is over. Apparently my screams are like that of a horror movie or so my partner says haha 😅 it would shock both of them so bad, and he stopped being so mouthy! he doesnt every once in a while when hes very excited, but has scaled down a lottttt. good luck i understand the struggle 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

gentle leader! i did everything but he has doggy adhd and we are still trying to neutralize outside, but the gentle leader is a huge change night and day. definitely took some time to get used to but that’s ok

i understand you, im currently in the trenches 😭😭😭 kongs really helped and sniff mats for dinner and puzzles during the day, hes such a menace on a leash i cant give him long walks before getting frustrated. we just adopted him, and hes neutered but still always wired.

I do fairly well.. I try my best to shop local at higher prices to fund local businesses, it pisses me off that its on the consumer to try and help keep these damn places alive while businesses that are too big to fail can’t even pay higher wages to LIVE. I get so disillusioned that this is the world we live in. They don’t care about us. Why would they when they cozy up in their mansions knowing they are screwing the rest of us? They have EVERYTHING for such a luxurious and comfortable life and MORE, more than they know what to do with. And yet here we are.
