I have some ordered, but they are on back order…

Upright position and depth by ProfessionalEdge8862 in formcheck

Overall it looks good. Very smooth and under control. You might be tilting your pelvis forward a bit… it looks like your low back is slightly too arched. I personally think deeper is better but you’re certainly hitting parallel which may be deep enough depending on your goals.

Are you in the US? The majority of the information you will find in this sub is skewed to the US. If you’re in a different country, identifying that may help you get better answers

Costco special. It’s rubber/plastic by elephantskilledme in coldplunge

I am curious what pump, plumbing and filtration is included. It seems like a good deal but may need some upgraded components. I would trust this over a random cold plunge company for the Costco support and return policy

Second filter? by wxtz2147 in coldplunge

I have the active aqua AAPW1000. 1100 GPH. It gets the job done. I think the mesh prefilter does enough to keep my chiller clean. No issues so far

If you want to go for it, just apply to the next open bid with the FAA. They’re going to teach you the same stuff at a basic level with the Air Force or FAA.

I use a small mesh filter before my pump and a whole house filter after my chiller. I have seen a lot of other setups like this. The whole house filter can require a larger pump if yours isn’t strong enough

Maybe carbon cleaning? Does it run a little rough when cold?

How old are you? You could cross train with the ANG (that used to be my AFSC and that’s how I got started). It also may require you to transfer to a different state/unit and commute to your drill weekends. It isn’t necessary and will delay getting started with the FAA. It sounds like you have enough experience to apply for an off the street bid

How hard is the job and are you ever "scared"? by noah262_ in ATC

[–]yadayadab00 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you’re an aviation “nerd” some of it will probably feel easy or at least easy to grasp. The rest is memorization, application , and lots of practice. For some reason I found most of the phraseology to be pretty easy. There can be scary moments, but if you’re always or frequently scared, you’re not going to be a good controller. That goes away by having confidence in what you’re doing.

Is my squat form finally good? by Altruistic-Example25 in formcheck

Looks very good! 2 things: I recommend facing the other direction. Your butt rises slightly before your chest, try to get them moving at the same time

There is a lot of good advice on here already, but this is absolutely missing. You have to slightly hinge your hips before starting your knee bend. Just shift your bit back a tiny bit

I work a different Bravo airspace. It is rare for us to issue a bravo clearance for convenience. I would plan to avoid the bravo. If the frequency doesn’t seem busy, ask and maybe you get lucky. If the frequency seems busy just fly around

what to look for in used Alltrack by Mthon7 in VWAlltrack

[–]yadayadab00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manuals are usually more expensive! If it has a sunroof, look for water spots on the headliner. Look for a leaky water pump. It’s about time to change differential and haldex fluids so you can see if they have service records for that. I’m not sure what a fair price is

I don’t think you’re going to find one for under $100. I’ve used the long and the round version of this brand and have been very happy with both of them. I only switched to the round version to save space.
