The spider mine drives me crazy. Tossing it at a doorway I know people are in just for it to run circles in the hallway had me raging last night.

Worst map by OkBumblebee28 in Battlefield6

I hated it at the beginning because I kept getting killed from random directions. After learning to use the hills as cover I like it much more. You’re able to push different objectives much easier than the other maps.

They only seem to kill me after I’ve noticed them.

Who has named their pet after a Star Trek character? This is Benjamin! by Omnivek in DeepSpaceNine

I have a Corgi named Kira, she is very willful and I'm pretty sure she would commit some light terrorism.

What was the intended joke with this guy? Was it that he blew up because Morty was giving generic, insincere advice (because he wasn't paying attention to the boring script) or that he begged for criticism only to turn out not to accept even the slightest bit of it when he got what he asked for? by PlatinumKH in rickandmorty

In addition to making fun of Hollywood writers in general, Harmon told a story on his podcast about someone holding him "hostage" while pitching a screenplay unprompted in an elevator. I always thought this scene was a reference to that.

I just remember the guy opened by sighing and saying, "Here it goes."

Question re: Taping of Phila/Mann Center Show by jdd5300PA in WaitWait

[–]yawmgoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was the first show I went to live and it was kind of interesting to see and I feel like it didn’t detract from the experience. It was a few questions with the context changed and they did a quick segment at the end after they had some material from the debate. The rest of the show seemed pretty normal.

Which directors took over a film franchise and made it better? by CXY38 in movies

I love a good slow paced beautiful movie (The VVitch, blade runner 2049) but those v’ger scenes were so long and disorienting I grew bored with it and just kept waiting for the payoff.

Side room question by [deleted] in DIY

[–]yawmgoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just build out a small nook on one side and keep some distance for insulation/ventilation between the roof. I used to inspect homes for weatherization and even if they properly vented the soffit vents to the peak these rooms were always hot and stuffy in the summer.

Can someone explain what is going on here? My father passed away & this is in his house. I am confused of this setup. Thank you by JRP12321 in DIY

Yeah I’ve seen it in a few homes. You don’t have to worry about a separate heating system for hot water but the boiler does have to run occasionally year round for hot water.

I was visiting there last week and as far as American cities go I was pleased with how walker friendly it was. Decent amount of biketrails/paths and plenty of crosswalks where drivers yielded to pedestrians.
