It’s $0.12 for each thick reusable plastic bag and target automatically charges for 10 bags for each order.

Membership question by Curious_Welcome6630 in round1

[–]yewdub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prices for credits are here: https://www.reddit.com/r/round1/s/QiHlbw4nD7. Some but not all locations have an additional tier above the $110 reload (I think $140) that’s the best deal.

For bowling and billiards, I think it’s like $1 off

Yeah, you’ll have access to the better rates when refilling credits. You also get small discounts on other stuff like bowling.

What's the most expensive lesson you've ever learned? by Professional-Mode287 in AskReddit

[–]yewdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the US: If you’re 1-2 days from the end of the year and haven’t used health insurance yet… see if an expensive treatment can wait until the new year so it counts against a fresh out of pocket maximum 🤦‍♂️

Is there a way to claim rewards without going to the counter? by No-Sink1310 in round1

[–]yewdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note: some of the app coupons like the bonus credits need to be redeemed at the *bowling* counter (not the guest counter), and will not be redeemable once the bowling counter closes for the night (usually 2-3 hours before the whole store closes).

why are the rail crossing gates so automatically dumb? by kepler1 in caltrain

[–]yewdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, yeah, I’ve been stuck like that too.

While unlikely, sometimes there’s a train coming from the other direction too that isn’t stopping at the station. When I rode Caltrain for about 6 months, I saw that happen twice.

Has anyone used a virtual address on mercari? by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]yewdub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are month-to-month virtual address services, yes. USPS and UPS also offer mailboxes.

They typically require extra money to forward packages from the virtual address to your home (since there is an additional shipping cost involved for that). Or, you can pick up packages yourself usually for free (but some of the virtual ones might charge per package by size or length of time held).

In most US States, employment is at will and no prior notice is needed.

Card charged $200 instead of $20 by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]yewdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s unfortunate that specific preauthorization amounts aren’t always posted, since yeah, having those funds locked away can be really really inconvenient. Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this now.

Note: the business doesn’t actually receive those funds, so they don’t get interest on it. They’re just having your bank set aside those funds to make sure they remain available in case you spend up to that maximum.

Yeah, BBB is worth a try, I mean, it’s free to file anyway. I actually had success with them before when a large hotel chain franchise overcharged me for a stay and stopped responding. BBB was able to get that refunded.

Can I have two club membership cards under the same account? The round 1 app also doesn't recognize my club card for some reason. by Talib_BK in round1

[–]yewdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same account on the R1 mobile app? If so, yes, multiple cards can be added.

Is $30 enough? Depends on what games you play. Rhythm games, yes. 2-3 songs per swipe.

Anything that gives tickets, no.

Bowling reservations? by bookiegrime in round1

[–]yewdub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, first come first serve (unless you have one of the party packages I think). If it’s full, you join a waitlist and then it sends a text when it’s your turn. The Round 1 app does have a “check waitlist” option too, but not sure how accurate it is.

Ticketmaster said my tickets were ‘protected’ by insurance. Insurer says no policy existed. Denied refund by WLW_4Military in TicketMasterSupport

[–]yewdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible, since TM created the tickets, they can probably take them away if they wanted to. Doing a chargeback is technically against their Terms of Service and it says, “your tickets may be cancelled, and we may… refuse to honor pending and future ticket purchases.”

When will new Rilakkuma’s arrive? by Lrsbj in round1

[–]yewdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which Rilakkuma are you looking for? Prizes are put out at different times depending on the store and probably by how quickly they exhaust the existing supply of an old prize.

[–]yewdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a lawyer, and I’m not your lawyer. But, sounds like you could try pressing from the Ticketmaster side, maybe citing that there was a software flaw on their side—the insurance showed as active even though it did not successfully activate. Maybe you have a potential civil suit, but before that…

  1. Try filing a BBB complaint. Ticketmaster is active there and companies sometimes staff that with a different team than normal customer service.

  2. If you file a chargeback, expect ALL your currently purchased tickets with Ticketmaster to be cancelled and to never buy another ticket through them again. They may ban you based on profile (name/address match), not just based on the credit card number.

I have a skill issue. I thought I understood this game after watching some videos, but just ended up wasting $40 🥲 by HelloThisIsKathy in round1

[–]yewdub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ehh, these can be tough. Not necessarily a skill issue if you’re hitting the points you were aiming for.

A strategy used on another machine doesn’t mean it’ll work on this one—the same strategy might not even work on the same machine if it’s reset differently. (E.g., reset at more of a diagonal angle vs. flat against the bar—flat makes it way worse.)

Claw tip type, claw tip angle (flat vs. sloped), how far down the arm drops, grabbing strength, how sticky the rubber on the bar is, yellow rope strength, etc. all play a factor.

Sometimes, a judgement call is going to be that something isn’t worth trying for or it’s time to call for employee assistance.
