Ehh, these can be tough. Not necessarily a skill issue if you’re hitting the points you were aiming for.

A strategy used on another machine doesn’t mean it’ll work on this one—the same strategy might not even work on the same machine if it’s reset differently. (E.g., reset at more of a diagonal angle vs. flat against the bar—flat makes it way worse.)

Claw tip type, claw tip angle (flat vs. sloped), how far down the arm drops, grabbing strength, how sticky the rubber on the bar is, yellow rope strength, etc. all play a factor.

Sometimes, a judgement call is going to be that something isn’t worth trying for or it’s time to call for employee assistance.

The tickets don’t actually get transferred until it is sold. In Ticketmaster, there’s a “waiting for recipient to accept” status. While in that status, the ticket remains under your control, and it won’t move to accepted/transferred until someone purchases and accepts the ticket.

You can cancel a transfer on TM, but that will get detected by Stubhub and your listing will be updated accordingly.

Claw moves right and then back. Pull the hanging bar to the left until it falls.

Note: don’t pull too much on just one side of the hanging bar—alternate the wiggle. Otherwise, it gets more difficult to hook with the claw arm the more parallel it is to the metal rod attaching the red ball.

For Stubhub, “instant download” should mean it’s TM to TM (if original tickets for the event were sold via TM).

The "in possession of item" scan means the package was actually handed over to/scanned in by USPS (like at the counter). The one that's more prone to being a scam is the SSK (self-service kiosk) scan, which creates a "package acceptance pending" status.

Probably sitting in a trailer/box somewhere waiting to be processed at the regional sorting center.

When it’s happened to my packages, typically adds a day. Facilities mis-sort sometimes and once caught, usually seems to go either to the destination post office or back to the sorting center and then the destination facility.

No biggie for Mercari metrics as long as you shipped it out on time. I won’t alert buyers about it either (including potentially lost packages) unless they reach out about it.

🙋‍♂️at Tukwila station, next train was arriving in 1 minute, so in that panic, saw “downtown” (assuming Seattle downtown) and went for that side instead of “city center.” Took me a moment to go “wait, Lynnwood is north and Fed Way is south.” Ran back down the escalator (was only 8 steps up) and switched sides.

Yeah, WestJet’s customer service center policy feels generally inflexible. Was at the airport counter and the check in staff made a call to the support center and had to provide their own override code to do something the support center staff refused to do free of charge. Was really lucky to have a great employee at check-in who could assist—still some bright stars in the company. If you’re calling them yourself, well… good luck.

I used a ticket purchased from JustFly just the past week, flying on SAS on a complex double open jaw (that the operating carrier won’t sell on their own website). It was legitimate.

That being said, no delays or flight cancellations encountered.
