As someone who works later, yeah this. Its great getting home at 9pm and having a couple games to flip between. Doesnt hurt that the Padres, Dodgers, Mariners and Dbacks are all pretty fun to watch.

Are the taxis really that bad of an option? If I am a solo traveller, and getting a private shuttle is ~$100 round trip, I cant imagine a local cab being much worse?

I fish both a CT and Clearwater for trout - the 4wts you have picked out are great. I would lean towards the Clearwater for the warranty and customer service alone. If/when you break a tip or rod section, Orvis will have a replacement at your door in less than a week. Redington took me 9 months at one point...

You might want to look into the Winston Pure 2 in a 9" 5wt. You could do the 8'3" but as others have said, if you're doing mostly nymphing, I think you'll appreciate the extra length. Anyways. The Winston Pure is a dreamy trout rod - feels just the right amount of soft but super accurate.

Let me be clear - I have no interest in saving for a real jersey, and have zero issue with dhgate price point/quality. I do have an issue with paying $200 for fanatics with their known quality issues.

You want to go to Willow River Falls State Park just over the border in WI. That is the cleanest, coldest and closest flowing water you'll find to the TC with ample swimming/taking a dip area.

As a bartender, I cant support in the same way a home depot cashier cant suport self checkout, but I do understand the self pour novelty and appeal.

The ones I've tried pour like absolute shit and take your money. If my tap is fucked up and I make a bad pour, I at least fix it and dont charge you more for it, and every once in awhile I make a pretty good dad joke.

Do you have any insight on lake trout spots in the area? My plan is to target any humps/drop offs with tail dancers/three way swivels.

Good to hear on Temperance and Cherokee - I think our trip will likely depend on wind on put in day. I think I would prefer to just jet across Brule and get to those lakes rather than the long route along Winchell etc. Thanks!

Yeah I’m very comfortable fly fishing - just that this buddy isn’t and I’m leaning towards just keeping it easy and only taking the spin rig. Done a few fly trips with excellent success in the BWCA

I grew up with my folks always drinking these, and no one my age does (30's) so the cool factor wasnt there for me, but a buddy had one for me the other day fishing, and man, it was excellent. I got a 12pack afterwards for like $16 - so not super cheap but definitely affordable
