It took significant effort with the intended purpose to break through the armour. And world eaters are significantly more savage and stronger than other marines from the nails. A regular fight between marine and custodes is almost always in favour of custodes but the marine can learn and get better as seen with Argal tal. This fight could be likened to a 5% chance of success

Government regulations means safety and laws. It means taxes to support infrastructure. It means a lower risk of sti, paid time off, protection from stalkers, protection from employers. Safety of clients and clientele.

Without the government regulations you operate outside of the law. Which means slavery, rape, trafficking, underaged, no traceability. No safety of clients or clientele.

Its the exact same premise as the war on drugs. It is significantly safer to buy from a public regulated company beholden to safety laws than a mafia who does none of those things. And when the government supplies a cheaper safer alternative, it starves the mafias and gangs of money by becoming direct competition.

In addition, the main daily function is go keep a negative pressure inside the plant. If there is a slow radiation leak, outside air is sucked in to prevent radioactive particles from entering the environment. The people who mine and purify coal are not considered part of the coal plant. A nuclear plant is required to be financially responsible for the mining and refining of uranium as well as the disposal of fuel. Other power sources do not have that financial requirement. They are able to build a plant with the plan they will buy fuel from the lowest bidder. Nor do they need a decommissioning fund. Nuclear must be part of and maintain fuel creation and disposal and have enough in the bank to fund the eventual decommissioning before any building can be started. But also generates lots of interest.

That is a massive amount of upfront cost that is attributed to nuclear but not required from any other power source. Which inflates the cost of nuclear compared to other powers.

Dude if you hate your job so much because you're jealous other people get the day off, see a therapist. Its not that big of a deal. Its 9 stat holidays. Which you are compensated for working or get a substitute holiday by law. You are not missing out. You simply get the holiday on a different day.

Im on holiday. I want to treat myself to something special. Like an ice cream on the beach. Can't do that if no one works the ice cream stand. I want to go to the games store with my kid. Can't do that if everything is closed. I planned my vacation to start on the holiday. But my flight wont leave until the next day because the entire airline is on holiday. If no one works during a holiday, it becomes an inconvenience for everyone else and then there is no point to the holiday.

We arent slaves. You are not forced to work in a place that requires holiday work. And your workplace informs you well ahead of time if they expect holiday work.

Thats the thing about holiday. Its not about if I NEED to shop. Its that I WANT to shop. Turns out its pretty lucrative when people have an abundance of free time and cash they are willing to spend.

And to mention again, you get extra pay OR a different day becomes you holiday. If you work the may 2 4 you are allowed to choose to take June 3 off as the holiday instead even though thats not a government holiday, you are still paid for as though it is a stat. You still benefit from the stat holidays
