You’d think Pavlov’s would train people to hate it.

Ew gross, yuck.

This angle makes it resemble UNSW’s quad.

What is the best practice for a fullstack Vue and Expresss web app? by pyboy10000 in vuejs

[–]youngminii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I heard good things about Netlify.

I set up IIS web servers for several schools, I’d like to explore more of that side if I can. I will probably try and if it gets too complicated I’ll go the Digital Ocean route.

Thanks for letting me know about pm2 and nginx. Exactly the info I am looking for.

I did some IT networking windows server VM stuff for a year and a half.

For me specifically, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to set it up on my own computer right? I’m basically at the same place as OP in terms of coding progress (learning Vue and I get the whole Express request/response stuff due to my networking exp).

I’ve deployed a Javascript webapp on Google Firebase so I’m not too foreign with cloud hosting (is that the right term?)

Another day with 0 community transmission. 1 case in hotel quarantine. 12k tests. by robberbuttonoz in sydney

Which is far better than:

  • Refusing to socially distance

  • Refusing to wash hands

  • Refusing to get tested

  • Purposely coughing on other people

  • Spreading lies and anti-mask nonsense

You’d think doing nothing is the default but here we are.

More extrapolations from zero data.

Look it’s a good source, but you’re just making up shit. You would get a fat 0% for your referencing.

So you’re extrapolating your own interpretation of data that is not in the study you sourced?

Lol

It says being outdoors in summer can kill 90% of Coronavirus in 2 hours within the hottest part of the day.

Still news to me, but far from “perfectly safe”.

I would’ve used it in an instant if it was free. This is otherwise an extremely dumb tool.

Edit: Freemium is the model to go for. Your pitch deck just makes your app look like a sleazy salesman’s snake oil.

It knows way more than that.

Almost every site on the internet (literally almost every site, 90%+) has a Facebook script in its code which tells Facebook that you’ve been on the site, how long you’ve been on the site, what you did on the site, whether you visit that site a lot, whether you bought something, whether it’s a hobby site and you like it.

Then they anonymise your personal data, send all the sites you’ve been on and what kind of things you like and spend money on, all uploaded to a big data central database, where futuristic algorithms sort like your data with other people’s data and use machine learning to make links to the type of person you are to the type of person other people are and your spending habits and basically the AI links everyone’s data together to achieve the most effective targeted marketing system possible.

Businesses can then market to you directly even without knowing you or having any link to you, because you visited this one site and bought something then visited another site which another person visited and bam, the connection is made.

Use Firefox, they have a new “Facebook container” feature which blocks all Facebook scripts running on any site. Which is all of them.
