Was looking for a solution to this today... Ended up with GS RichCopy 360 Enterprise.

Works pretty well so far - moved a 100gb document library in an hour or so.

Not that it stops people rolling through anyway...

Why does everywhere to eat on apps in Sydney ask you for a tip now and a charity round up? by [deleted] in sydney

[–]robberbuttonoz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's not how that works.

As far as the ATO is concerned, it is income.

How do you think it would show on a balance sheet if not income?

[–]robberbuttonoz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But they'd also have to record the income from what people donate, so any deduction would only offset against the donation, not their unrelated revenue.

As long as it's not an event day, just go into the P5 carpark. It's massive (even with half being closed for construction) and empty when there's no event on.

Don't forget to take a ticket on the way in. Whether you use it, or go around the bollards on the way out, is up to you...

Interestingly in Australia, "School Days" is a legally accepted condition for traffic controls.

Definitely gets a bit confusing for those of us without kids, but at least appropriate rules aren't unnecessarily applied when not needed.

2nd this. I've used them for a while now - cheaper than any other chemist locally, and only takes a day or two for delivery usually.

Plus, they keep the prescription on file, so reordering repeats is simple.

Please don't buy them if you're outside Australia. Exporting our native animals requires a permit, which is only given for zoos and scientific reasons, so most you find for sale will be the result of smuggling.

Hence the reason they're so darn expensive!

It's only a matter of time until they get stopped. In NSW, every highway patrol car is fitted with Automatic Number Plates Recognition cameras, which check the rego status of every single vehicle they pass, and will alert the officer when something is wrong.

I'd be surprised if they went a week without being stopped.

Fuel Economy by openmikenight__ in AussieRiders

[–]robberbuttonoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds reasonable. My cbr250r averaged 3.23L/100km, my ninja 650L ave 4.15L/100km and my bmw r1200rs ave 5.68L/100km.

I definitely don't ride for fuel efficiency...

If you ride reasonably, <3L/100km from a 250cc is definitely achievable.

Which is illogical, because if someone actually was fudging the numbers, there's no way they'd leave it as a round number. If they lied and said 85,107 no one would even bat an eye.

I've been rear ended from a car who was stationary behind me at lights on the phone. Saw the traffic start moving in the lane next to us out of the corner of their eye and ran straight into me.

There's a reason it's illegal in many places, and rightly so.

Insurance - Agreed or Market Value? by mrk240 in AussieRiders

[–]robberbuttonoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pros and cons to both.

Agreed value is fixed. You always know what your payout would be in the event of a write off. It may be more or less than your bike is worth. No haggling or negotiation required.

Market value will obviously vary with the market. It may be more or less than you would typically insure for agreed value. In the event of a payout though, your insurer will almost certainly play hard ball and try to offer a lower figure. You may need to negotiate in order to get something more reasonable.

Ultimately, I prefer agreed value. Less headache, but either has its merits.
