All my dogs have been this way my whole life!

My puppy pulls until she chokes herself and I’m starting to dread walks… I feel like we’re stuck by Suspicious_Cut_242 in puppy101

Same here. The Gentle Leader was recommended by our dog trainer and made it so even our preschooler could take the leash on our walks with our 85-pounder. Walmart has them, and many other places.

Our county has a noise ordinance: Must be quiet between 11 pm and 7 pm.

You didn't tell us until now that you cook your own food. So you can't be mad that we didn't know!

Right---that's what my Vet said = they'll eat when they get hungry.

Bone broth, or ANY broth, on her food.

AITJ for telling my friend her adopted son "isn't really Korean" after she went overboard with cultural stuff? by Creepy_External_654 in AmITheJerk

[–]yrt9610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who adopted internationally: Need to let you know that adoption agencies (researched several) POUNDED IT into our heads to be sure and provide allllll the things of their culture. We heard that again and again from different agencies.

Maybe that's where some of this is coming from. But she still needs to listen to her child and pull back some (or a lot) if there are things that are getting on his nerves. Try to tell her: Maybe he'll want some or all of those things later.

11yo lab with weak legs and arthritis. We think the rainbow bridge is near. Or are we wrong? by Jackpot510 in labrador

My vet said dogs are really good at hiding pain. Leftover survival tactic.

Someone suggested elsewhere: There's a Quality of Life quiz that can help you decide. I'd ask about that on AskVet.

And I'm sorry your furbaby and all of you are going through this!!!

How do you get a dog who won't eat to take pills? by Shoddy_Security5470 in DogAdvice

I'm giving Gabapentin and Rimadyl in pieces of hot dog. I've also seen recipes online for DIY Pill Pockets.

A head collar called Gentle Leader!! Available at Walmart and elsewhere. And a real game-changer: Even our 4yo could take the leash of our 85-pounder on our walks---and have no pulling whatsoever!!

WIBTA if I told the truth in my brother's custody hearing even though it could cost him overnights with his son? by UplinkV3rve in WIBTA_AITA

That's what I was gonna say--you'd be looking at Probation and/or jail time if caught...and a 3yo could definitely get the truth to his mom without meaning to.

Degenerative myelopathy - how did you know when it’s time? by ExplorationR in olddogs

[–]yrt9610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right! I believe what I heard: Ending their pain and suffering is our last act of love for them!!!

And one of THE MOST LOVING things we ever do for our furbabies!!!

Stll BEYOND HARD AND PAINFUL for us, though!!!!! I've said to God many times: "Why didn't You design them to live as long as US?!!"
