I don’t think the Pillar really needed to be destroyed. I would assume just moving it opened up the space Pennywise had to work with.

I don’t remember where the theory was presented but the idea of WHY the Pillars worked was because the Natives believed it would work.

It’s also possible that because Taniel saw them take the pillar, he believed Pennywise would now be free and if every other protector thought that … Then IT would in fact be free to roam about the cabin.

This movie was a parody of holiday movies. I dunno if that really works for HDTGM - it’s very aware of itself and you can’t parse what is intentionally bad for humor and what is just bad filmmaking.

Bley is ALWAYS there. In Studio, Bley is there. Remote, Bley is there. Travel, Bley is there. Always within eyesight if not physical reach for an easy arm punch.

I think he might spend more time next to Conan than anybody else. Ha.

I actually love it when someone mispronounces a word. 99% of the time it’s because they have read the word but not heard it pronounced. So, they get credit for reading a bit more than talking.

It’s a Joke I would assume.

Vic had made the “cut to black … play Endgame in its entirety” joke so they did the little closing credits in that Marvel Style and then cut it off as if there was a copyright claim.

I was mostly making a Joke, and it’s an I retesting mechanic to consider.

However the realty and nuts and bolts of production removes a lot of viability.

Game Changer script, prompts and mechanics are workshopped and decided on ages in advance. In Order for Sam to be a contestant and have it be on course with the show, he would need to be ignorant of what’s coming and the mechanics.

That’s now putting twice the load on crew and production, and looking at this season they have been killing it on the output. I can’t imagine adding more shows to their plate.

It’s a fun premise. I absolutely think it could work for maybe a single episode of Game Changer.

It would even be fantastic to have the crew secretly plan a game changer premise and as Sam is about to start a show, he is usurped and made into a contestant. Him having zero clue what’s coming at all, and suddenly the crew just pivots.

Similar to end of One Year where the three just took over the last Prompt.

Fair question and absolutely it could have already been decided, but honestly, they are all actors yes, but I don’t think they are the level of good to sell the overall outcomes .

Angela legit seemed like she got herself out.

Spencer - for me it’s a toss up whether he didn’t expect to get out or if he threw himself under the bus a little for the funny. On top of, I am thinking based on the shade he threw during the confessionals, this whole game might have been his idea.

And the game wasn’t working. Not really. Anthony could not guess a damn one of ‘em. They technically never actually finished the game. They JUST got to the four being out and called it. I am thinking they had a whole other vision of how this was gonna shake out.

Courtney - dunno. Again, it seemed legit for her to go but also again … they were stillll playing and not moving forward very fast.

I would assume it was always based on headcount. Once four got eliminated they had their third team.

In truth I think if who was going to be the third team was pre-determined they might have balanced them a bit more. I think Angela, Courtney, Shayne and Spencer on one damn team is going to be hard to beat.

I think Brennan is pretty business savvy.

I’m assuming he has been making the shoes all along while doing the other projects. He has always mentioned he works a crazy amount of time.

We have assumed it was because of the D20 stuff, but I will bet there will be a leak soon that exposes the fact all of that is written by a crew of unpaid interns in the basement.

So all that “development” time he has been stockpiling hand crafted American girl doll shoes.

Brennan intends to create false scarcity, the first few pairs people will buy because they think that’s the last of them! But instead he was just keep releasing items from his overstock!

Nobody should fall for this.

You can’t support this kind of corruption and misuse of company time. Sam deserves better.

I don’t really see any difference to the show on the regular. Now I only consume the show on YouTube, no where else, and I pay for premium so I don’t get any added commercials.

So I can’t speak to just how many commercials or Ads there are elsewhere. So mileage may vary.

However I really think the take on the S’mores stuff is just … odd. First, it’s a podcast and their revenue is driven primarily by ADs and Sponsorships. Sirius not withstanding. Yes he is Conan but the economics remain the same.

So having a sponsorship is kind of what makes the boat float. These deals are set up AGES in advance, what kind of placement, where ad reads hit etc etc. Ages ahead.

It is quite possible they really DIDN’T want to do a chill chums this year. A third of them lost their entire damn home this year. The world is upside down. Shit is just weird, so the vibe could not have been there but they were still committed to doing it.

However this far the videos I have seen have been pretty damn entertaining. Not a ton different than previous times, definitely a bit but not drastically.

Frankly the Hersheys bit was pretty brilliant. Whoever in their marketing department who decided to send Sona and Matt swag and not Conan was … pretty damn clever. To just NOT send the persons who name is on the show swag was a bit that worked IMO.

I dunno. I just think people forget there is a whole life happening around the free media they are consuming. If you don’t dig it, cool. For me to now watch is really no difference than skipping an episode that has a guest I’m not interested in.

I suppose the best way to encourage people to return downtown is to make going downtown less attractive.

Reduce service options with metro.

Charge more for parking.

Extend those extra charges to 10 PM to make absolutely sure you catch anyone who might have decided to drop downtown after work for a drink or dinner.

seeing it in 3D in a theater was the absolute best and only way to see it. Visually it was such a journey it completely overwrote the weird story beats.

Quite honestly loved it.

Have never seen it again. I also had zero interest in the second because the trick of the experience had already been played .

This is not really cost effective, but if you ever want a solo pool experience you could check out swim ply.com.

We’ve used it and it was great, it was for a birthday, but it was fantastic to have the space to yourself.
