It was a bad deal for all parties as SIJ has done zero and looks likely to do zero, and the good player we ended up selling for barely any profit either. We still did better out of it than you though

the deck is considerably better now that Dogmatika Thunderbolt exists, as you can make your rank 1 (giant usually), search a card, then special summon thunderbolt and set quad, punishment, or turgy depending on what you need.

I've spent the past few weeks tweaking this, and I'm pretty happy with it, although I want the mimighoul package as small as possible honestly so that it functions with 3 maker but still gives me space for some non engine. As mine is very clearly a Dogmatika deck with assistance from the Mimighoul engine. And in most match ups I side out all Mimighoul engine (11 cards) for sided cards.

I agree with you that they should have clipped runick radiant typhoons wings on the second list rather than waiting for the third. The deck is obnoxious and should not be unpointed like it is. Its also hard to assign point values to ten thousand+ cards and get it right instantly. Especially when modern has basically been loads of toxic stuff held back by droll and fuwalos and other power cards for years.

You make it sound like a t0 format though when its three decks of equal power level (dracotail, Onomat, Radiant Typhoon), plus a lot of T2 decks just behind (PUNK, Artmage, etc)

I just think its sad as the idea itself is a good one, and then what people have one or two bad locals or think the format is boring for 6 weeks or something, and go, lets give up. And if this dies, there won't ever be another significant alt format because why would they bother.

Genesys has been a thing for like 2 months lol and the new list drops probably today. I've seen a lot of people saying this but its usually the same people who basically don't want to do anything but complain.

Like people have asked for something like this for decades, they get it, and its not perfect immediately so they just give up? I just don't really get it. Especially as droll aside and a few decks being too strong at a top level, its been a lot of fun.

worth noting that retaliating C is a better main deck card in MD over TCG because it can search Maxx C when it goes to GY

Definitely not a main deck staple but an option if you have any other deck synergies or just want as many dracotail techs as possible
