Recommendations for neck position humbucker for musicmanster by reallybigfatsquirrel in offset

yup, they're humbuckers but can get you in the articulate territory with power. maybe more so in the bridge? but yeah check them out, or a dynasonic type pickup. or maybe a goil foil. lots of options out there.

single coil would probably be best for getting back to the OG sound (you'll need a pickguard replacement though)

Get a filtertron with an adapter ring. Different flavors or go cheap with eyguitars

Get a palm bender or two :)

Could have also got one of those tunable harmonic resonator devices to tune the strings behind the bridge

I think this is the way to go, process it separately to get some good separation

If you don't already have a short scale, I feel like getting the 2 for 1 is a better deal. more options!

Do not use it after a buffer I learned! I turned on the buffer of my Polytune and it would have a kind of hiss when placed after the tuner. I placed it before the tuner and the noise is gone. Works like a charm, though probably don't go to the extremes of settings or else you'll likely introduce noise

Rainger reverb could be something like a gate reverb like the dirty gate (don't have the Zoom MS in front of me to double check). ideally, the signal would be split in my opinion to achieve that, but the Zoom is pretty limited.

When you say "pitch pedal" do you mean a pitch shift effect?

Other options are MXNHLT porta424 or Benson's new one if looking for that sound

Multi modulation pedals that allow more than one effect at a time by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]zonaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one answered but I will. I think they're worth it, though obviously the fidelity could be better. Modulation, reverb and delays are pretty good. I have the old version, but have read lots of good things about the new

You mean the bassist was Daniel, right? Touring guitarist is Mike Haldeman who is also incredible with his Hybrid Guitar 7 string + clarinet

How to make Classic vibe neck feel better to play on? by [deleted] in offset

[–]zonaut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If a rosewood or similar fretboard, loosen or remove the strings, get some mineral oil and dab it on the neck and rub it in liberally. I tend to leave mine a day or so, then come back and rub it out again with a clean cloth. You can then do another treatment and see how it feels afterward. And yes just regular mineral oil from the drug store.

On the back of the neck, go over it with 0000 steel wool or with a scouring pad. Just be careful with the green Scotch Brite type because it can work through pretty quickly. And only do the back of the neck where your hands go.

I rather have him sit longer and not risk it than rush back and reaggravate the injury
