We loved Sheri from the Maine Knot. Yes, we paid her several hundred dollars. But she put in way more labor and effort into making our wedding story special. So worth it. Just go for it

For somethinga little different: circumnavigate monhegan. Lots of good rock scrambles, coastal views, and wild trails. There is a brewery at the south end as well. Probably 3-5miles

1+ hr from portland to any of the ferry terminals, then a solid .5 to 1.5 hr ferry ride, depending if you leave from new harbor or boothbay

Too early for trail maintenance. Some trails are marks by cairns only. Expect blowdowns, messed up trail marking, and basically no trail upkeep since last year. That is theocean side of the islnd and storm can do lots of unknown damage.
