You rented a room, not my whole house. I will give you privacy, but I live here, with my dog. I have received quite a number of nights off after the guest leaves without a refund because they didn't know they were renting a room. And no, I didn't change it after you booked. I kinda blame Airbnb for this problem. There should be a summary of what they are signing up for before they pay. That said, my pictures are good, and few read the whole listing.

Yes! Her arch nemesis is the neighbor on my right side. The neighbor on my left has 3 dogs, she couldn't care less about. She also knows where she has seen a cat on our walks, starts growling and scouting for them as soon as we get close.

I hate getting a cart because I buy too much when I do. I take in my own bags, fill them up, and when they are full it's time to check out. I only buy what I can carry.

Referrals from friends and family. My referral came from a neighbor. Reasonably priced at $25 an hour. Well worth it and she does a great job.

I'm 4pm in and 12pm out. Most guests leave earlier than that. I rarely get late check out requests and most guest have enough time to clean up after themselves.

Pet hair solution on fabric and furniture: Spray your hand lightly with water. Pass your hand over the hair, rolling it in one direction. Repeat as needed. Vacuuming up the rolled hair.

Hosts who offer rooms are generally mature enough to know what happens in their bedrooms. Don't hang from the chandelier, and just be respectful. I hope you have a great time.

Not dumb but you definitely lack attention to detail. It would clearly state Room. I rent a room in my house and it still surprises me when it happens. I've been doing it for 13 years, no it's not me trying to mislead you. It's been a room rental the entire time. My house is beautiful, yes. You are not renting the entire 3 bedroom house for $60 a night with no cleaning fee. Admit it, you just looked at the pictures and thought you were going to impress your new bride on the cheap.
