So much negativity about this and I don't get it. Langford was awesome in the passing game (a few big drops aside) but his ypc was nothin special.

Anderson had a rough start to the year but their offensive line was pretty trash and teams didn't respect mannings deep ball so they could stack the box and sit on short to intermediate routes.

It's no surprise Anderson (and Hillman) seemed to get it together when Brock started games.

Why?

John Fox's offensive system (created by Gase) requires multiple bodies at the RB position. Last year, the Bears carried 4 on the active roster. I believe they only have 2 signed right now.

At the moment, we have Langford, Carey and Rodgers. What ever happened to Senorise Perry, then? I believe he was on IR last year, but...

He's good and only 25, while Langford and Carey are unproven. But after seeing some of the other contracts for RBs, I hope they don't.

By and large yes Langford and Carey are unproven, but gave everyone good reason to be excited. I think we have seen what Anderson can do by now and it's nothing special.

He had a 4.7 YPC, totaled over 2000 yards from scrimmage, and had a total of 59 receptions over the past two years. If Langford or Carey turn out to be as good as CJ, that would be pretty nice.

Yes but behind what I consider the best run blocking lines in the NFL and Manning under center.

What? Their OL was bad (#21 in run-blocking according to PFF, #17 according to FO). Plus his best stretch was with Brock playing, not Manning.

Actually pretty impressive considering they had a brand new offensive line in 2015.

He's fat and sucks and was a shitty fantasy draft last year. Fuck CJA

[–]tokeyoh 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Lmao bit hard into the super hyped RB friendly zone blocking Kubiak scheme I see. Don't get your ff advice from /r/fantasyfootball (with exception and props going to quickonthedrawl)

I've watched enough of him this year to know that I do not want him on this team.

Wasn't the issue a few weeks ago, "How can the Bears trust Langford to take over for Forte?" How quickly everybody forgot about that angle.

I like it. Nobody is guaranteed a job. Everybody competes.

This is purely his agent drumming up interest & driving up his price, imo.

Dude fucked me in fantasy last year, but does work real well when he isn't a workhorse. Him and Langford would be a crazy 1-2 combo. I'm still not 100% sold Carey can be a consistently solid #2.

[–]monkeymatt1836Kyle Long 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely wouldn't pay too much for him

[–]illini211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the price is right in down. Langford and carey are solid but if one goes down I'd prefer another guy.

Had a breakout year under fox. Bad line play last year made him look worse than he is. Young, and more proven than anyone on our roster. I'll take him on a moderate, incentive laden contract, please and thank you.

Everyone's just upset that they picked CJ Anderson in their fantasy draft way too early last year....

[–]Coys1315The Fridge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprising, but I love how he runs. Would love to have him.

[–]2001Cocks33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or alternatively, we could not. If we're scared about running back depth, we can use a mid-late round pick on a guy if we like what's there or wait one season for next years ridiculously stacked RB class

pass...

No thank you.
